February 29, 2008

Update 040
February 15, 2008
Updates between the Xbox 360 and PC/PS2 servers finally are getting synchronized again. With this maintenance period, most everything from the previous two PC/PS2 updates has made its way to the 360 servers.
GUARDIANS Boost Road
Even though GUARDIANS Boost Road was released to the 360 servers last week, there were some issues with the event's points system. This has been addressed, however it did call for all points accumulated to be reset. This reset applies only to the 360 servers.
New missions
Two Ambition of the Illuminus missions have received S2 difficulties. This applies to the Xbox 360 servers.

New partner machine upgrade devices
Numerous new EX Devices have been added allowing various upgrades to partner machines, including EX Device GH470 and EX Device GH480 which allow partner machines to evolve into young boy and butler forms.
The Nanotranser X has been released. This item allows you to increase the storage capacity of your partner machine by 50 items. Multiple Nanotranser Xs can be used to increase a PM's storage capacity to a maximum of 500 items.
New items
Casino Voloyal's exchange counter has been updated with many new room decorations, music discs and clothes. (Part of this update was received by the 360 last week, but now everything should be even.) Variety Shop in Clyez City has also been stocked with a new remodeling ticket, Blue Court to go along with some of Voloyal's new decorations such as the Barbell and Sandbag. Finally Shitenkaku's offering box has received some new items.
Update 039
February 08, 2008
Following some issues with getting the necessary Xbox 360 title update certified by Microsoft, SonicTeam have delivered the content detailed in update 038 to the 360 servers. Unfortunately, this update is once again broken apart between servers. Details follow on which servers received what with this maintenance.
Winter Event
After being extended on the Xbox 360 servers due to the title update certification delay mentioned in update 038, the Winter Event has come to a close.
Seasonal lobby
Valentine's Day has returned to Gurhal. Be on the lookout for the rare Rappy Amure! All servers have received this update.
GUARDIANS Boost Road
The GUARDIANS Boost Road has begun on Moatoob! The following missions are part of this limited time event:
The more ranks you earn on these missions, the better the drop rates for them become, with a maximum boost of 50%. Remember that your bonus is based on the mission you've run the least, so work with all five missions to get the most of the bonus. This update applies to all servers.

Update 038
February 01, 2008
This update was delayed for the Xbox 360 servers due to a necessary title update not being certified by Microsoft on time.
Winter Event
The Winter Event has come to an end for the PC/PS2 servers, taking the seasonal winter lobbies and superholy Photon Fortune for all races with it. However, due to the title update certification delay mentioned above, the Winter Event continues on the Xbox 360 servers.
New story mission
Chapter 2 of Episode 3 has been released.

- The Collector has been released with the following new items for exchange:
- Five new color variations have been added to the Waiwad and Hanaura sets along with CV variants of the Musagante and Valatines sets for CASTs.
- Shitenkaku's offering box has also been updated with new items.
System updates
- Meseta drop rules have been changed so that only party members in the mission field will receive dropped Meseta. Players who are in a lobby will not receive any money.
- Item drop rates for enemies in the original Phantasy Star Universe have been adjusted to match those of Ambition of the Illuminus.
- Certain enemies in Ambition of the Illuminus have had their drops changed.
- Rare material drop rates from normal containers have been increased in missions with enemies over LV125.
