What the fuck? Why did Asim ban Qwerty? This doesn't make sense. Tycho

before you guys jump all over it, it was a mistake. asim did it while trying to ban the vandals. everybody hates Ahzi 01:13, 23 October 2006 (PDT)
He should take more care then, it was me who woke up this morning to find a PM from Qwerty asking to be unbanned. y halo 'wtf' moment. Mewn

Plugin update

Since you have the eff-tee-pee access, might you be able to take care of this when you have a moment? (Unless of course it's already been taken care of.) Thanks! - EspioKaos 21:39, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

Granigs sighting

  • I've been spotted! o_o I'll likely be on again later tonight if you'd like to meet up to swap cards and whatnot. - EspioKaos 10:46, 8 March 2008 (CST)

Punctuation

Yeah, I have a hard time knowing where semi-colons go. If you wouldn't mind, could you tell me where to use semi-colons? Amaury 16:34, 31 January 2008 (CST)

  • A semicolon is used to separate clauses, which are parts of a sentence that, if separated by a period, could both be sentences in their own right (i.e. they have subject and predicate). In other words, a semicolon replaces ", and" or ", but". --Qwerty 16:51, 31 January 2008 (CST)
  • So... something like this?
  • (I went to the store, and yes, I remembered the Milk.)

I went to the store; yes, I remembered the Milk.

  • (I wish I could take you, but I locked my keys in my car.)

I wish I could take you; I locked my keys in my car.

  • (What would you like? A hot chocolate or a Milkshake?)

What would you like? A hot chocolate; a Milkshake?) Amaury 00:11, 2 February 2008 (CST)

    • Yes, maybe, and just use another question mark. --Qwerty 01:07, 2 February 2008 (CST)

To Qwerty

  • Hey, Qwerty, you got an account for MySpace, YouTube, or the PSU Forums? That way, we can talk and it won't fill up the "Recent Changes." Amaury 18:57, 27 January 2008 (CST)

"Also, why don't we rowspan the star rarity columns? It looks silly without it."

  • Simple enough. It breaks the table every other page load. Discussion along that line took place here, though by "discussion" I mean "monologue" as everyone else refused to comment on the "lol break" thing and I got fed up waiting. - Miraglyth 02:08, 26 June 2007 (BST)
    • I think nobody commented because nobody except yourself experiences it. Maybe I'm wrong in making that big of an assumption, but I myself have never had that problem, nor has anyone else I've heard from. But yeah, in opinion, it looks ugly this way. --Qwerty 02:27, 26 June 2007 (BST)
    • Tych does. I know that much. - Miraglyth 07:13, 26 June 2007 (BST)
    • I didn't want to assume that either, but I've never seen a problem with it as well. :/ - Beatrixkiddo 16:46, 26 June 2007 (BST)

About the ban

My mistake about that; the timing seemed too perfect between the edits, as if you were an alias of Ravenx2 or Seras' friend (I believe that's the story, it wasn't actually him? Who could have guessed). It was an understandable mistake, though. I thought Qwerty was an alias could have been to take your name in vane and to play around with us because they just wanted to have a short laugh and then practically revert everything, I don't know how to track IPs and I was the only sysop to stop what was happening. I did it to protect the site and I wasn't prepared to take precautions. I was very paranoid, but luckily it was me who has the nice time zones required to ban those in time even though you did a great job at reverting the edits and yeah didn't know you weren't one of them.

Also for any sysops who clearly didn't take enough damn time to realize I could be confused (and for good reason) and think I should have taken more time to analyse everything, I really didn't have time I needed to sleep (it's a rl thing) and I didn't want any more vandalism on the recent changes page and I knew you guys wouldn't be on the site until hours later where we could already have 200 edits of penis. Sorry Qwerty, if you would like to contact me privately my MSN it's syedasim@psupedia.org. Asim ( T·C·)

  • it's alright brah, easy enough mistake to make everybody hates Ahzi 14:02, 23 October 2006 (PDT)
  • No problem, Asim, I knew it was a mistake. I wasn't really angry as much as I was just confused. And the only reason the time between the edits was like that was because, by some stroke of (mis)fortune, I happened to log on just after they started the attack. Then I just mashed F5 over and over on the Recent Updates page and fixed each one as they did it. At any rate, do not worry about it, it's all fixed now. Qwerty 19:29, 23 October 2006 (PDT)

Sysop

  • I would like to say Congrats on gaining the spot! Beats me what you can do fully, but hey, someone needs to do some kinda job ^_^ Good luck now! Rydia 14:26, 30 November 2006 (PST)

Dvorak

Do you hate Dvorak?

  • Actually, his PSU character is named Dvorak. >_> - Tycho 01:32, 2 December 2006 (PST)

IP Ban 24.15.184.31

"24.15.184.31 (contribs)" with an expiry time of infinite (Vandalism. Appears to be OptimusPrime, certainly an undesirable type, hence the infini-ban.)

It's no more likely that it's optimusprime than it being joesmo, if you actually look at his full revision history it starts with "fuck you all" then goes to "OptimusPrime Owns you all!!" + *Link removed* as a link/image. Then he reverts the link/image out. The screen shot he had posted for a minute originated from a character called Bones but there is no way to tell if thats a first hand screen shot or secondhand. Could be anyone in reality... regardless gone now, just felt the need to comment since we were making an assumption of identity with no correlating evidence. Sidhe 05:51, 6 December 2006 (PST)

  • Well, he did say 'appears to be OptimusPrime', which to me shows doubt that it is in fact, OptimusPrime. I think a plain assumption of identity would have been, '(Vandalism. Is OptimusPrime)'. I think the important thing here is the 'certainly an undesirable type' which holds true and is the reason for the infinite banning.
    • On another note, I removed the link to certain forums, for reasons I hope are obvious. Mewn 06:47, 6 December 2006 (PST)
  • Exactly, Mewn. Furthermore, I really don't care who it was; anyone else who wants to try to pull this shit can earn an eternal ban as well. Someone is not going to go from spamming vandal to helpful contributor; it simply won't happen. I appreciate the feedback, but, no, the infini-ban will stand for this user and anyone else who acts similarly. Qwerty 22:05, 6 December 2006 (PST)
    • Don't get me wrong, I wasn't suggesting it shouldn't be an eternal ban :P Just commenting we may not want to assume who it was /shrug/, I honestly couldn't care how long someones ban is for, if they got banned based on the banned log, it was vandalism.. and that deserves a ban, ive run a wiki before and it gets old real quick cleaning up spammers and griefer messes. Just commenting, if I disagreed on the ban itself i'd have put it on the talk page for the ip :P

Stuff

Didn't edit anyone's pages. ^^;

No edits, all I did, was view source code so I could use as template for mine ^^, if it says I edited, gomen.

  • Try not to divide conversations across multiple talk pages. Also, please sign your comments on talk pages. And what does "gomen" mean? And yes, you did edit the title of his character data section. You changed it from "PSU character ogod" or whatever to something like "PSU character information." I'm sure it was just a mistake and that you didn't mean to save the edit, so it's alright. Qwerty 17:27, 14 December 2006 (PST)

I have it here at User:Shinzakura/Sandbox. Please let me know if this works and I can tweak or prepare a finalized version as necessary. Thanks.--Shinzakura 21:19, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

About Redundancy lol

lol sorry bout to redundancy to the 3 hive monsters. I just wanted to let ppl know which of the hive monsters did use megid. Cuz Hives r the most dangerous places to be at and getting caught unprepared costs either a scape or a forces pp to use giresta and I liked writing their descriptions and just wanted to jazz up the pages. But yeah sorry bout the redundancy.

Sincerly, BRayJ

Monster Pages

This might sound a little nit-picky, but the monster pages looks a little ugly and could probably be laid out a bit better (not talking about the 'lists of monsters' pages). There's no "link" to the missions they appear in (the actual mission pages), no strategy section, and the table looks inconsistent with the rest of the wiki tables found throughout the wiki. I don't mind making changes myself if I'm allowed to, but I'm wondering if it's that way for a reason or if it has to be that way. Alkaven 19:47, 11 September 2007 (BST)

Amesani

In response to your Main Page edit, the site is still active, and is even linked to on PSU-Wiki. Current link here; still in beta phase to account for any changes since the release of AoI. What happened is, after her move to the Japanese servers she decided to ditch the English community too, so although the data is as useful as ever, it's not for the xenophobic anymore. Babelfish and Google Translate help to navigate basestats.php, but unfortunately the stat names won't be translated after that. Not a problem if you know the order by heart or would learn to recognize the handful of kanji used for the stats, but not really friendly to more people that are slightly more casual about this. Sorry it's not really a useful substitute, but just thought I'd let you know anyway. - Tycho 07:35, 9 October 2007 (BST)

  • I don't really see any reason why Sounomi couldn't have translated the site and kept the US version up (hardly a novel). But hey, I think this has more to do with Sounomi's utter contempt for anything that isn't done by the Japanese community, myself. The Japanese site will have to do. - Mewn 11:47, 9 October 2007 (BST)
  • If anything, it would have been for the same reason for which she took down her databases for PSO and RO. - Tycho 15:52, 9 October 2007 (BST)
    • Yeah, I noticed that later, just forgot to edit it back in. To be honest, I would be interested in looking into if we could possible find someone to code a similar stat calculator, which we could try to get Hitmonchan to host for us. We could call it a PSUPedia/PSUTopia joint venture, even. Anyway, that's just one possibility, but I don't see why we couldn't make it work. Oh, and regards to Sounomi taking down the site, yeah, that's pretty stupid. --Qwerty 16:39, 9 October 2007 (BST)
      • If anyone could teach me how to make this (my last attempt at similarly using MS Works as a db program for Pokemon D/P BT stuff massively failed because of what seemed like huge fallicies in the program), I would, if only because it'd be useful to learn. I dunno if the initial errors in her program were fixed though (mistakes on my part that resulted in rounding errors), because any possible mistakes might as well be dealt with beforehand. - Tycho 04:11, 10 October 2007 (BST)

Illuminus Sountrack

  • I'd say this over MSN if you had it, but thanks for the errata. How did you check? Just knowledge of PS4/AoI/comic, or PS2 rip? Oh, by the way, I hope I got Arkguard 1 right at least. XP Anyway, I should really reupload this with the proper names (whereever the 'CRIADX_##' names came from Jon got off of the disc, do those even have 'proper' names?), before everyone's going to confuse these permanently. >_< - Tycho 12:27, 10 October 2007 (BST)
    • I do have MSN. :O Anyway, I'm a bit of a geek with PS music, so I just so happen to have all the PSII and PSIV tracks on my playlist. I juts listened to Death Palace and then realized that the one labeled Arkguard 2 has a very similar beat. And the End of the Millennium remix I recognized similarly. Anyway, if you wanted, I could send you the mp3s in question so you can compare them for yourself. While we're on the subject, just a few more comments, especially if you intend to rename the tracks: the Alteratsugoug BGM is called "Growl, from the Dark Faith" and "Casino Volwayer" should be "Casino Volyale." Additionally, it seems the "Death Palace" remix is just called "MOTHER" and the "From Seeing the Rough Wave" remix simply "De Rol Le." I'm pulling these names from here, which appears to be the most up-to-date BGM listing currently available. However, some things will clearly change with Anglicization, such as "Raia" and "Eathan." Oh, and the Habirao one seems to be called "Habirao F.D" (note the lack of a period after the D, not like it really matters). Also, I seem to recall somewhere that it was stated that "Mother earth of dishonesty PART2" would be called "Forest of Dejavu," though that might just be me confusing that with the name of the forest mission in the AoI beta. Just one more thing to note: on the front page, you say you were unable to find "The kink in the wind and the way PART2," but that is clearly included in the file. Perhaps you meant "Empty space out of control PART2," as Jon_F's page lists that, and it is not included in the file? Any way, hopefully all this information is useful. --Qwerty 19:14, 10 October 2007 (BST)
      • Yeah, that's going to help. But if you already had mp3s of the tracks, I'm interested (So you can verify the names? And moreover, could we spreading mp3s instead of adx files?). You're right about the Empty Space thing by the way; pretty bad I messed up on that too, even though I knew which track was which (hi PSO OST download sites). Anyway, getting any possible naming issues out of the way before redoing the upload should be good, if the update was going to be in order to get the names straight in the first place. - Tycho 15:43, 11 October 2007 (BST)
        • No, I mean mp3s of the original tracks from PSII/IV. I reckon it's only a matter of time before the official AoI OST shows up somewhere. Besides, that can't possibly be all the new tracks, since it quite clearly lacks the new version of "Save this World," and I'd certainly hope they included more than two new mission and boss tracks. Unchanged stuff recycled from PSO doesn't count. D: --Qwerty 15:59, 11 October 2007 (BST)
          • Ack, ah well. And yeah, I know I didn't get all of it, but I really don't have much of a clue how to look for more (other than manually trying hundreds of more files even though last time I thought I kinda tried most of the ones with seemingly appropriate file sizes D:). Er, anyway, too tired to update zip now, so maybe tomorrow. DX - Tycho 17:02, 11 October 2007 (BST)

???

how do you create a page under a user page sub then i have no clue on that one i just started using this and i was doing that stuff as a simple way to play around with wiki on here without messing with main arts after it took me 10 minutes to add the stuff for the card pa frag art

  • 1. Sign all your comments on talk pages.

2. You go to your user page, type a forward slash, then type whatever title you want (e.g. User:Qwerty/Sandbox).
3. I have a hard time understanding what the hell you are saying. This isn't an instant message program. Type out your words fully and correctly punctuate if you want to be taken seriously.
4. If you want to "play around with wiki," that's what the sandbox and your user page are for.

Introduction

Hey Q, this is X, also known as XDefuego, and wanted to formally introduce myself into to the world of Contributing on PSUpedia. I already noticed I stepped on a few toes here and there, so wanted to emphasize my cause of no ill-intent. There's still some things to get familiar with, like "Where to add..." and "What to add...". (Note: I thought that adding "Boss Box" would be more of a determining indication as to where and what to look for for that perticular item, but I was wrong, sorry Q). Anywho, I'll keep tabs of my mistakes and learn from 'em, and keep an eye out for any kind of vanalisim happenin' around. Holla if you hear me... - Xdefuego December 2nd, 2007 00:34 (NYT)

  • No need to apologize, everything here is more of a team effort anyway. And you're by no means wrong about the "boss box" thing, I just personally find it a bit redundant, and think it makes the tables unnecessarily large. But anyway, don't sweat it, I'm just glad to see new people getting involved. If you've got any questions about anything here, I'll see what I can do for you. --Qwerty 00:04, 2 December 2007 (CST)
    • Actually, I do have one question for the moment (I do have several others, but I think in time I'll figure the answers out with a lil' trail-n-error). When I use the Signature box to show my name and date stamp, my time is off by an hour. I used the fill in browser option but it keeps it at negative 5 hours. Is there any way to change it? BTW, I'm East Coast, perticularly, New York City. --Defuego 19:52, 2 December 2007 (CST)
      • I'm in the same boat as you for that, actually. I think it may have something to do with Daylight Savings, but I'm not sure how to go about fixing it. Sorry. :\ --Qwerty 19:57, 2 December 2007 (CST)

Fullyen Curtz

  • All right, I will try.
  • However, Fullyen does have two Ls.

JubeiSaotome is the one who told me it had two Ls. Here's proof: http://psupedia.info/Translation_errors

Scroll down to the bottom and look. =) Amaury 21:16, 20 January 2008 (CST)

  • Remember what I said about splitting conversations? You're doing it again. Qwerty addressed you on your talk page, therefore you should reply to him there, in the conversation, not somewhere else. And Curtz as an enemy is spelled Fulyen while the character most anywhere else is Fullyen. It's an oversight by SEGA. - EspioKaos 21:19, 20 January 2008 (CST)
  • Seconding the splitting conversation note. Stop doing that. Yes, ST is inconsistent with his name. In 1Up, his name was displayed as "Fulyen," but he introduced himself as "Fullyen." This has been fixed for when he joins your party in The Protectors. Additionally, the character list over at the official site has him listed as "Fulyen" in a picture, but if you click on the picture, it takes you to another page where he is "Fullyen." Point is, as an enemy he is called Fulyen with only one "l" and we must spell it this way for the drop templates to function properly, so please do not change it. --Qwerty 21:25, 20 January 2008 (CST)
  • Actually it's the other way around. Fullyen Curtz (also that name in the party list) introduced himself as "Fulyen". Everything else was alright though. - Miraglyth 13:56, 21 January 2008 (CST)
  • You got it! =) Amaury 21:27, 20 January 2008 (CST)

Yeah, my Bad...Time for question?

You seem pretty good with the psupedia editing system. i just have a quick question, How did you set up your profile like that? i mean like all i have is my char. list. i dont know how to add a Contents or more tabs. idk message back anytime,

NightHawk135

  • Well, since I'm not sure what specifically you're asking about, I'll just give you some general advice. If you ever wish to see how something is generated, simply click the "edit" link to view the code. If the page in question is someone else's user page, then feel free to view the code all you want, but don't actually edit their page in any way. Also, I'm going to have to ask you to try to use the "preview" button more, along with combining several small edits into one large edit. That just keeps the recent changes page cleaner, which keeps staff like myself happier. If you've got more specific questions, fire away. --Qwerty 00:25, 13 March 2008 (CDT)

My Apologies

Sorry but I'm not sure how to combine all my edits into 1/2 large edits, the Previewing I will though -- Chiyoko Ryokunai
