Every run, there is an invisible switch in the forest area. Its location changes with each run, with 10 different possible locations (five per block). Pushing it allows you to walk through the wall on your right after entering Contaminated Temple: Block 2. Mission details

  • The number of clear boxes awarded at the end of this mission depended on the number of enemies defeated. As the event progressed, new blocks were added, thus increasing the number of enemies that could be killed. The following list details how many clear boxes were awarded depending on certain circumstances.
    • Clear box x4: This is the base number of clear boxes that would be awarded. It could be achieved either solo or in a party if enemies were skipped.
    • Clear box x6: This number of boxes could be obtained solo by skipping enemies in Mizuraki, but completing the first additional block that was added to the temple.
    • Clear box x8: Playing solo, eight boxes could be received by defeating all possible enemies and clearing the first additional temple block. In a party, the additional block could be skipped as long as all other enemies were killed.
    • Clear box x12: In a party, enemies could be skipped as long as the first additional temple block was cleared.
    • Clear box x14: In a party, all enemies must have been killed, including those in the first additional temple block. The total enemy count at the end of the mission equaled 188.
    • Clear box x16: In a party, all enemies must have been killed, and both the first and second additional temple blocks had to be cleared. The total enemy count at the end of the mission equaled 200.

Denan Ryott subplot

There was one invisible secret switch located in the Mizuraki area of this mission. Its location changed each run, with a total of 10 possible locations (five per block). The map below details all 10 potential locations. If the mission was played solo, you had a chance of finding the switch, however if you were unable to locate it in the first block, that meant that the switch was in the second block which could be accessed only if you were in a party with at least one more player.

After finding and pressing the hidden switch, you were able to walk through the wall to your right after entering Contaminated Temple: Block 2. Inside the hidden room, Denan Ryott, the newman client from Temple of Traps, stood at a large console. Depending on your progress in a series of events up to this point, one of two things would happen. Initially, he would tell you to leave him alone. However, if you had completed Will of Light and cleared Temple of Traps (on any difficulty) with a grade of S, Denan would ask for your help, giving you the option to either lend him a hand or refuse. The choice you made was used to determine a reward you would receive in the Spring Event mission Protectors ε.
