Mission details

  • The number of clear boxes awarded at the end of this mission depends on the number of enemies defeated. As the event progresses, new blocks will be added, thus increasing the number of enemies that can be killed. The following list details how many clear boxes will be awarded depending on certain circumstances.
    • Clear box x4: This is the base number of clear boxes that will be awarded. It can be achieved either solo or in a party if enemies are skipped.
    • Clear box x6: This number of boxes can be obtained solo by skipping enemies in Mizuraki, but completing the first additional block added to the temple.
    • Clear box x8: Playing solo, eight boxes can be received by defeating all possible enemies and clearing the first additional temple block. In a party, the additional block can be skipped as long as all other enemies are killed.
    • Clear box x12: In a party, enemies can be skipped, as long as the first additional template block is cleared.
    • Clear box x14: In a party, all enemies must be killed, including those in the first additional temple block. The total enemy count will be 188.
    • Clear box x16: In a party, all enemies must be killed, and both the first and second additional temple blocks must be cleared. The total enemy count will be 200.
  • NB: The following bug applied only to the first week of the event. It was fixed during maintenance on July 23, 2009.
    • You get 16 clear boxes if one of the party members has a cyan icon color. Otherwise, you get eight for S-rank or four for any other rank. To get a cyan icon, you must first form a party of six characters. The sixth character will get the cyan color. Then two of other players must leave, as the mission is limited to four players. You can get the extra boxes with any number of people in the party as long as one of them has the cyan color.
    • You can also use an NPC to fill one spot. Invite two NPCs and then remove the NPC that took the cyan color. You can get it with only five people this way.

Forest switches

Every run, there is an invisible switch in the forest area. Its location changes with each run, with 10 different possible locations (five per block). Pushing it allows you to walk through the wall on your right after entering Contaminated Temple: Block 2. A newman male stands there and tells you to go away. At a future point of the event, however, his speech will change if you have met certain requirements. You must have completed Will of Light and received a grade of S on any difficulty of the partner mission Temple of Traps. If these requirements have been met, the newman will ask for your help. You can either lend him a hand or refuse. Your choice here will determine which reward you receive in the future event mission (The Protectors ε).

The locations of the buttons are detailed in the following map:
Froflobtns.png

Note that you may not find a button if you play alone. Solo players can't access block 2 of the forest area, meaning that if a switch is in that area they cannot activate it.
