This is a work in progress mock-up for a re-design of the main page. Only basic formatting and content is currently outlined any content is simply a placeholder until finished. I don't think there is any plan to re-design the front page currently but it seemed like an interesting project. If you have any suggestions please add them to the talk page.

It might be nice to break out the sections that are frequently updated as templates so the main page can stay more or less unedited.

More than the main page will likely need to be reorganized or merged for all this to make sense.
