Profile
Hey there, I'm Warren on the Xbox 360 version of PSU. User ID is 30037256, subscribed since January 2007. I'm on the official forums and PSOW forums under the same user name here. I am a Veteran of Phantasy Star Online/Universe games of 10+ years and counting. I solo mostly and only play with friends and friends of friends. I occasionally run with randoms if I want to get EXP a bit faster or if there is an Event/GBR going on.
I main 4 jobs: Acrofighter, Acrotecher, Fighmaster, and Gunmaster. I favor speed and efficiency over variety and choice.

Damage Record
This section details my personal record for highest damage dealt in a single hit. For those who are unaware, currently the Xbox 360 servers has an artificial damage limit which prevents players from dealing more than a predefined amount of damage in a single hit. While very unlikely most people will reach the max damage threshold in regular play, some of the more notable moves like the third parts of Gravity Break and Anga Redda can easily reach max damage, especially against opposite element enemies. In my play time, I have observered what appears to be different damage caps for different moves. It seems Anga Redda is capable of doing more damage than Gravity Break. This may not be the cause of having more ATP with an Axe, but because of programming. However, despite there being a set maximum amount of damage, that cap is actually a base value and can be exceeded with various traits such as having a higher attribute rate on your weapon, GAS options such as Revenge Blaster, Avenge or any of the Crusher/Collapse Weapon Styles, the HP affects pwr ability on a weapon and debuffing an enemy with Zalure.
As for my best record, I went with Graivty Break, third part, and using a Flowen's Sword+. Here is my full setup and scenario below:

Class |
Fighmaster |
Easy choice for natural level 50 Skills. Although Fortefighter GASed would be better for higher base ATP, it's unlikely you could do more damage thanks to the cap in the first place.
|
Base ATP |
2345 |
Boosted from 2195 with Strength+ Lv.5
|
Weapon |
Flowen's Sword+ |
The one I use is a 45% 8/8. My 44% 10/10 does NOT do more damage since I can easily reach the base damage cap due to raw ATP alone. The 1% element allows me to go a little further.

Skill PA |
Gravity Break |
Just attacking the third part of this move is what the whole damage record is based off of, paired with the sword used.
|
GAS Weapon Style |
Sleep Collapse |
Adds 55% more damage done, a critical aspect of the damage calculation requied to exceed the base damage cap. This style far outperforms low HP Revenge Blaster.
|
GAS Extra Style |
Avenge |
A friend is needed to use this, but Avenge does indeed stack with anything else used for modifying damage past its base cap. It seems Avenge boosts damage dealt in a percentage, much like how Revenge Blaster and Status effect styles do too.

Armor |
Shijin |
For the set bonus of course. Can be any element and rate.
|
Head Slot |
Ouryu |
Required for Shijin set bonus
|
Arm Slot |
Lumirus / Power Charge |
Can probably get away with using lower end ATP boosting Arm Slots, or none at all but you may as well get the highest boost possible.
|
Traps |
Sleep Trap G |
Since you can use these as a Fighmaster, it enables you to easily to put an enemy to sleep with no hassle.
|
Player Buff |
Shifta |
Ideally you'd want an Acrotecher as your partner to activate Avenge and buff you as well debuff your target. However, Agtaride/Megistaride work about the same as level 41+ buffs.
|
Enemy Debuff |
Zalure |
By reducing the targets DFP, the damage they receive will not be reduced as much which as a factor that is considering against the damage cap.
|
Scenario Setup
Armed with all of the above, my favorite testing grounds are White Beast on C rank. The reasoning for this is because you have level 20 monsters that have very low DFP, have to be of Light element because of the sword used, and can survive a Sleep Trap G. My enemy of choice for the damage test is a Gohmon as they have enough HP to withstand a trap and have very low DFP as well. I ready the stage by getting my HP down to 1 (altough 10% or less should be enough) with the use of area traps and damage sustained via use of Megistaride. Once my HP is at 1, I have my partner (an Acrotecher) proivde me higher level Shifta, Zalure the enemy, and then purposely get incapicated to activate my Avenge style. I then run over to the Gohmon, put it to sleep with a Sleep Trap G, and then ready up a Just Attack third part of Gravity Break.
The end result is a massive 24,736 points of damage.
The only way I can go higher with this setup is a higher attribute Flowen's Sword+. Ironically enough, my earlier damage tests have proven Door to Subspace on C rank would actually be better as enemies in there have noticably reduced DFP, but since it's single player only, I cannot get the Avenge boost activated. Hopefully the Xbox 360 version will see a system update removing the damage limits imposed on weapons (and SUVs too!).
