Hee-hee, I was just about to do the same thing to "True Darkness" that you did. You beat me. =P - Amaury 23:31, 16 June 2008 (CDT)

Does anyone believe it?

The alleged -4 and -X2 spawns. We've got just four of these, none of which I've seen, and all of which are not seen on the JP wiki. Specifically:

  • Unsafe Passage "C-4". Supposedly non-rare, would only need a starting spawn of Pannon x3 to confirm.
  • Fight for Food "B-X2". Actually, both B-X and B-X2 disagree with the JP wiki. Would be hard to prove or disprove given how little people run it.
  • Fight for Food "C-X2". Our C pattern is the A pattern on the JP wiki. Their A-X matches our C-X2 and they don't have our C-X at all.
  • Plains Overlord "B-X2". Our B pattern is the A pattern on the JP wiki. Their A-X matches our B-X2 and they don't have our B-X at all.

I remember not believing these when they were added back in 2006 by people who - by their other comments and thoughts - were apparently not capable of reading. Given that every other mission since has been 3 patterns of 3 common and 1 rare variant each, and that JP's wiki has seen our charts and disagreed, I still don't believe them. Does anyone? - Miraglyth 13:09, 29 December 2007 (CST)

  • I was wondering about those last night as I was going over charts. I guess it's possible for there to be a second rare spawn per pattern, but I think it's unlikely considering the pattern established by almost every other mission. It might be a good idea for us to go over those missions and redo the charts. I think I might do that tonight if for nothing more than some practice with making a chart since I've never done one of my own before. Besides, it'd be good for us to verify a number of these missions, particularly the ones that had spawn changes with an update over the summer. - EspioKaos 14:00, 29 December 2007 (CST)
  • Do we have a central page to reference which spawn sets/entire charts have been confirmed? If not, I suggest that we make one, so that those of us who are willing to help with this don't duplicate other people's efforts. - Spirit 02:55, 30 December 2007 (CST)
  • Huh... now I'm not so sure. Just ran a Scarred Planet C run and got Rappies, but the spawns were off the hook. Pattern C. The second spawn was many Volfu (some kings, which was why I noticed) and two Bal Soza, and the "indoor" spawn of block 3 was Go Bajilla x3→4. There was also one spawn mid-way through which was a swarm of Go Bajilla (though only 3 at any one time, more spawned as killed for a while). Can't remember any other distinguishing features. Wondering if mission difficulty matters more for spawns now. - Miraglyth 19:07, 7 January 2008 (CST)
    • ...and again. Pattern A this time. Again, first b3 spawn was Go Bajilla x3→4, but nothing else I took note of. Still 100% on Scarred Planet C for rappies :/ - Miraglyth 19:28, 7 January 2008 (CST)
      • Urgh, this'll be a difference on difficulty. And for the longest time I always thought difficulty only affected the way "sub-bosses" could spawn. Wonder how this'll work with mission spawn charts. - Miraglyth 19:38, 7 January 2008 (CST)
        • I've noticed differences in spawn patterns between difficulty a few times, even with the older PSU style missions. The ones that spring to mind most are:
          • Valley of Carnage, which I was used to running through on my way to Tunnel Recapture, and which when I started doing it on S and S2 rank for exp, seemed to contain a lot more monsters;
          • Tunnel Recapture, which I spammed on C rank way back when it was the best MP for low levels, and noticed several odd things when doing it on S rank months later. And;
          • Sakura Blast. Sakura Blast in particular stuck out at me, as I created the spawn chart based on S-rank difficulty spawns, and have since done a few B rank runs to find a better Neiclaw. The important spawn information seemed to still be applicable, though I didn't find any rare spawns on this rank, so I am as yet unable to confirm the rare patterns.
        • The differences I noticed in TR and VoC might have been a result of rebalancing, so I initially dismissed those differences as a result of external manipulation in the form of game updates. SB though, is too new to have suffered any such manipulation as yet. If worst comes to worst, we might have to supply spawn charts for each difficulty on each mission's page. >.> - Spirit 19:59, 7 January 2008 (CST)
          • The current system works fine for Sakura Blast. I've found Jigos on both B/C and A/S layouts, using the system and spawns we have listed now. --Beatrixkiddo 22:17, 7 January 2008 (CST)
          • Thanks for the confirmation, Beatrixkiddo. It's nice to know my effort wasn't entirely wasted (since I do still plan to hunt a Neiclaw, and don't really want to create a new spawn chart for the same mission a second time >.<) Still, for the other cases - ie: the -4 and -X2 variants - I'm inclined to believe the spawns that don't match the JP wiki at all, are probably entirely incorrect. That said, I also know for a fact that incorrect spawn information has been quoted from the JP wiki in the recent past. I suppose we'll need more information on all of these 'odd looking' spawn sets before we go about deleting thim... Is anyone here planning to hunt rappies/Jaggos? ^^; - Spirit 03:44, 8 January 2008 (CST)

Asking for suggestion

Would you prefer I translate all missions over from The Japanese wiki? I heard lots of people were having problems getting them to work so I thought maybe it would be better if people add the data themselves for it...

But it doesn't look like it is being done, so should I translate the rest over or just make empty sections for people to add? Fiethron 21:37, 7 January 2007 (CST)

  • The more information, the better. So I think a translation would be helpful Kitomi 06:08, 8 January 2007 (CST)

Rare Monsters Page Overhaul?

Hopefully this is in the right place. If it isn't, I apologise.

I've noticed a couple of things with the Rare Monsters page. Firstly, it's huge. This can make it difficult to navigate from within the page, though there is always the option of clicking on the menu at the top of the page to go to your desired mission. However, there's a lot of other things that I feel could be done to improve it.

  • 1) Splitting the page into 4 pages, one for each major location. ie: The colony, and each of the planets. This could be taken further, such as giving each mission its own seperate page, and having the 'planetary' pages load tables for each of the missions, as they appear on the mission's page.
  • 2) If we do choose to give each mission's spawn table it's own page, we could add the option to 'show all missions that have X monster as the rare spawn'. This could be useful for anyone seeking something that drops from a given rare monster, but doesn't know exactly which missions that monster may spawn in.
  • 3) Standardising the spawn table layout. The layouts are similar when viewed on the page, but there are several minor inconsistencies. These include slightly different column layouts, and table borders.
  • 4) The code behind the page is sometimes horrid to navigate. This is fairly common with collaborated works such as this wiki, but there's much that can be done to improve it. At the very least, this code could be standardised so that when new missions are added, there's only one layout to use as a template for new spawn charts. This would address both point 3 and point 4.
  • 5) Some of the tables feature monster names that link to a page giving information on that monster. Many don't. I don't see a reason why they can't all share that functionality, other than it will take a little work to add brackets to them all.

I'm happy to do this work myself. But I don't want to make changes as large as this without first getting permission from those who manage the site, and getting feedback from people who use this part of the site regularly. I'm also open to any suggestions as to possible further improvements. Any ideas and/or suggestions? Spirit 06:49, 28 December 2007 (CST)

  • Actually, pretty much all of this is in the works right now. We've already set up individual mission pages which can be accessed by clicking on the mission name (within the article, not in the table of contents). Each page includes various mission data as well as a spawn chart. Not all of them have been filled in yet, however. Also, a standard spawn chart style is going to be implemented very soon. One was discussed about a week ago, no one objected, so now it'll be put into place. (Discussion is here while a mock-up chart is here.) - EspioKaos 07:34, 28 December 2007 (CST)
  • Ahh excellent, thank you. I didn't know that was there.. Possibly because I didn't know where to look. xD Well, I'll reiterate that I'm happy to help with the workload. I'll also leave this topic here for now so that others who come here looking for this info, at least know something is happening. Thanks! Spirit 08:27, 28 December 2007 (CST)
  • To my knowledge, we've not decided whether this article'll be split or go altogether. But splitting it by rare enemy "to see which missions have them" should already be done by the pages of the rare enemies themselves, no? See Delsaban, unless the ideals for enemy pages has changed since then. Personally, I'd expect the page to move to "Rare enemies" once the missions' spawn charts are all moved over and standardised, and then this page to either turn all its spawn charts to link directly to the ones in those missions' sections (to prevent large-scale duplication) and also to the pages of the rare enemies themselves, or for the page to be split by planet and keep the spawn charts. - Miraglyth 08:47, 28 December 2007 (CST)
  • Hmm a good point, though I was thinking more of the convenience of having all spawn charts for a given monster on one page. Still, it's no fuss to navigate two pages every time you switch missions. On the topic of the article being split, would it not be simple to have three forms of it? One page with a complete listing, one set of pages sorted by planet, and of course the individual missions themselves? The 'planetary' and 'complete listing' pages could just load the individual missions into their own, which as you've suggested should solve any duplication issues. One of the issues I was attempting to address though, was the sheer size of the complete listing we have now. It can be horrid to scroll through purely because of its length. Spirit 09:09, 28 December 2007 (CST)
  • Yeah, I'm not fond of the "all in one article" format now that we have so many missions. The guy hosting this has noted that such massive articles cause a larger than proportional server load. Hence the either linking straight to mission articles (which as noted, the enemies themselves should do) or splitting per planet despite duplication. - Miraglyth 10:19, 28 December 2007 (CST)
    • To help ease server loads, we should try our best to take away from this article as much as possible, then. I believe that originally we'd linked directly to spawn charts in individual mission articles here (with a link saying "spawn chart here!" or something to that effect) until someone came by and put the charts back in while removing the link. If we enforce this method of linking directly to the mission article's chart, this might help get visitors used to charts being in articles as opposed to this massive page as well as cut down on server strain since this is one of the most popular articles of the site. - EspioKaos 10:35, 28 December 2007 (CST)
    • I suppose the question then would be: Do we have seperate, linked articles for each mission and its spawn chart, or just one article per mission that includes both? I've seen EspioKaos' proposed mission information article (nice work btw!), and it doesn't seem that adding the spawn chart there would be a bad idea. Most people visiting that article would likely be looking for the chart anyway. Spirit 12:25, 28 December 2007 (CST)
  • Um, most missions already have their spawn charts... - Miraglyth 13:23, 28 December 2007 (CST)
    • Oh, oops. I had forgotten that EspioKaos had mentioned that above. xD Oh wells. If there's anything you can point me to that needs to be worked on, I'm happy to offer my services. Otherwise I'll just stick to updating with new info as I find it. =D Spirit 14:46, 28 December 2007 (CST)

"Train track room"?

Can someone please clarify for me which room this phrase refers to? Is it the dead end room where the Key drops, or is it the room before that, with the platform with the barrels on it? I'm referring to the C-X spawn set, by the way.212.32.77.163 13:34, 14 December 2006 (PST)

Train track room is the room where the key is. The other map which just has train tracks is the actual track part. So for C-X, it is the small room. Fiethron 06:39, 15 December 2006 (PST)

  • Do you mean the room with the small path down onto the tracks or the T-junction's right side where it has around 3 sets of mobs spawn, which overlooks the train tracks? --JubeiSaotome 06:43, 15 December 2006 (PST)
  • the room onto the tracks where the key spawns... --Dark Dajin 14:53, 25 December 2006 (CST)

Amure?

  • What is the kana for this name? Given that it is suggested they appear at Valentines, wouldn't a more logical guess at the names be 'amour'? Or 'amore'? Sega liek French (see PSO EPIV) so they might like Italian too. Mewn 12:04, 15 December 2006 (PST)
  • アムレ, ノエル, ラタン, パスカ, アクテ, ソニチ. So yeah, it's not because I'm completely illiterate or anything; I did get the references. Some company still fails at languages though! - Tycho 15:09, 15 December 2006 (PST)

Unsafe Passage B-X

  • All right, I've been running B in Unsafe passage, and am getting the B-1/X variant. Anyhow, just had a question on the block one spawn set. Are we sure that after the three Pannons that there are SIX pannons in the second set? Here's what I mean: http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4640061 I've seen five pannon spawn there multiple times. If that's not the right spawn, disregard this post. ;3 Fence! 21:16, 29 January 2007 (CST)
  • So you're saying tha The B-X is noticable now compaired to B-1? Rydia 06:00, 27 March 2007 (BST) I just did B run and the monsters are the same as B-x, so this info was incorrect (yet again).Rydia 06:28, 27 March 2007 (BST)
    • The point is that both listed "further in" (now "second room") as Pannon x6, while they are both really Pannon x5. I really, really think we need separate articles for the rare spawns of each mission. It would help keep the discussion more organized, and would allow for more space to better explain the intricacies of each rare pattern, consequently reducing silly errors and misunderstandings such as this. --Qwerty 06:44, 27 March 2007 (BST)
  • I just got done charting the entier area of B style Map. I did 2 so far. B List Please verify if needed. This is the best to my knowlage that I tried to chart. Enjoy? Rydia 07:13, 27 March 2007 (BST)

Jaggo Hunting

  • Here it is folks...
C1 and CX are identical up until a particular sequence in Block 2.
First get to block 2 with the Vanda 3-2-2 sequence. (if you get the 3-3-1 sequence you will not find the jao)
The difference isn't until you pass the gate.
Pass the gate, go down the hill and kill the 2 Kog Nodds.
    4 Vanda's will now spawn
THIS IS WHERE THE DIFFERENCE IS
    Two different things can happen...
Number 1: Once all 4 Vandas (withOUT shield and sword icons) are killed one more Vanda will spawn, then lapuchas. No Jao's will spawn in this map.
Number 2: Once a single Vanda is killed, more Vanda's will spawn, then more.(i'm not sure of the number because it's been so few times I've found it (only 4)) Once all the Vandas are killed, the jao's will spawn.
Im not sure if those 4 Vandas have the sword and shield icons when the jao's spawn, I'll have to re-post after the next time I find the jao. I wasn't paying attention the first 4 times I found them (probably because I was excited)
I hope this helps. PS. I do have one relaxing jao in my room ;)--Ren 14:05, 4 January 2007 (CST)
  • This is also true with B1 and BX. These two are also identical until the second room in block two.
I started hunting for jaggos again since the jaggo amure came out and I have to say that, at least since friday, the second block with a spawn of 3-3-1 is right. I saw the jaggos quite a few times since friday, twice a day to be exact, and all of these were with the 3-3-1 spawn. I am 100% sure of this since, I am level 71, I do that on C rank, I use a spear with dus robaddo to kill the first 3, it kills all 3 at once, and 3 more spawn right after, then one more.
Do not neglect the infos post by Ren above me though, since this is also a requirement.
Since there seams to always be a problem with the second block, I would personally suggest getting the first block right and once you have that, go to the end, no matter what. I always do this and saw quite a few jaggo even before the jaggo amure.
I hope this help those who are looking for jaggo amure ^_^ --Shadow black Hedgehog 3:21 AM eastern, 12 March 2007
  • On which map variation was this? C? I did VoC a few times today and noticed that the A-1 and B-1 Block 2 spawns were incorrect for the first set of Vandas (The chart now shows the correct spawns). They were both 3-3-1, with no Jaggos. I'm going to assume that means it's the 3-2-2 spawn that determines if it is a rare variation or not for A and B. Morningrise 04:34, 25 March 2007 (BST)

Sleeping Warriors

What is the pattern to A-x? Nothing is listed. [edited 1/2/07]. When we get B-x or C-x we have no problems until the 3 Badira when you go down the stairs on 2nd block. I'm still unable to confirm those myself.

  • Been trying as hard as I can to figure it out, have had no luck with getting A-X. Haven't even been able to confirm the info I got on B-X and C-X. :x --Cerria 03:15, 1 January 2007 (CST)

I'm not sure about C-X but B-X worked for me, took about 3 hours of hunting but i finally encountered rappies and orgdus once... yes the majority of the time the badira x3 at the bottom of the steps was what went wrong with the runs but it is possible. I'm not sure if the luck of leader has to do anything with it, the leader in my party had 3 luck at the time but that culd just be a coincidence. I have yet to find C-X, i always get a polyvohra at bottom of steps instead of 3 badira, but that doesn't mean the chart is wrong, it just means you gotta keep trying. I'm too am trying to figure out the spawns for A-X, i just try and keep a mental note of spawns and if i run into ogdus i'll write it down and post them on here.

i updated A-x but the second room info is missing. i am also not sure if the first room spawns are the only possibility. but rappies did spawn when the polvora was down the stairs, that part is certain.

One of the rare patterns for Mad Creatures

I posted a thread about it over on PSO-World, but being on 360, I can't exactly take pictures. I'd really appreciate if one of you PC guys (or girls) would be able to take some pictures and/or add it to the list. Anyway, here's my post:

It's the one where you go forward and there's that natural ramp (and 2 haystacks off to the right of it), and the first spawn is 2 Poltys (Polties?), then 3 of them which gives you a key to open the gate, then Vahras when you go down the next natural ramp.

Block 2...sorry I don't remember the first spawn, I think it was Poltys, but anyway...it's the block where if you go straight, there's a cave where you can take a left or go straight to get items. In there, 4 Distovas spawn. If you take a left in that cave, go up back onto the ground, and there's your Rappy spawn! 4 of them.

I'm sorry if it's confusing, and I really would try to get pictures of the blocks, but I'm on 360 and much too lazy to take a picture with a digital camera or something.

Hope that helps people. Umberger 21:09, 3 January 2007 (CST)

Tried it earlier on pc. Didn't work. Got 4 vahras instead. stridhiryu030363 15:10, 7 January 2007 (PST)

Pattern C Polties first spawn for block 1 and 2, in the cave it is 4 koltova not Distova. Fiethron 21:35, 7 January 2007 (CST)

So then are you saying that for Pattern C-x you have to get 2 polties on first block, 3 polties on second, followed by 4 Kovoltas inside the cave for the rare board?

Yes the patter for C-X is poltys in block 1, then poltys in block 2 followed by 4 Koltovas inside the cave, the table now shows this.

Somebody has placed an INCORRECT layout for Mad Creatures as being C-X2. This layout is WRONG. It is the Distova x4 inside the cave that makes it the wrong board. You want Koltova x4 inside the cave. I would edit it, but I don't want to mess up the layout.

  • Im pretty sure i got the C-x map one time as distova, but they do look similar so my memory could decieve me. My question is are there ever 2 rare map possibilites for one map. The FFF map has 2 marked also, is that possible? Loki 22:16, 1, April 2007 (CST)
    • It appears that others agree with me and they have seen distova with the rare map too, perhaps someone should re-add the already removed C-X2 version of the map. http://pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=139117&forum=22&10Loki 1:57, 6, April 2007 (CST)
      • Many, on the pso-w forums, are demanding that the CX map be changed to distova as it read before, as soon as repairs are made to rectify the dmg caused by mixboy2ko it should be changed.Loki 11:39, 8, April 2007 (CST)
  • someone has completely F-ed up this map chart. I can only guess that it was mixboy2ko who was the most recent to edit, but perhaps that was an attemt to fix it. I think for one the picture link names were changed, can anyone fix this? Loki 11:29, 8, April 2007 (CST)
    • I checked outthe edits made and it was indeed mixboy. this person also changed the seed awakend map to say C best insteed of C-X. This user should be talked to certainly and booted if this continues. Loki 11:39, 8, April 2007 (CST)
  • I managed to fix the damages caused even tho im not very wiki knowledgable, i also went ahead and changed C-X back to Distova. Unless others can confirm the koltova spawn, all evidence seems to suggest it cannot happen. Also the person bitching about the C-X2 map should not be on a wiki page, because that is not information. If they wish to complain it should be moved to discussion. Loki 11:49, 8, April 2007 (CST)
  • FengShui1983 just changed it back to koltova with out commenting on its confirmatio. I can tell everyone without a doubt that rappies do happen with distova, I repeat I cannot confirm the koltova, can anyone help on this before changing it needlessly?
  • I will (try to) change it back to the pattern including both CX and CX-2 until we get to know somehow if there is or is not a rare map including Koltovas. I hope this will prevent peoples from messing with the map, and with our poor distovas D: Kelvie 21:36, 10, April 2007 (GMT+1)
  • Confirmed CX-2 is CORRECT. It is tricky though, you either get vahras or 4 rappies. I got 4 rappies and it WAS distova. This was during the easter event and I did get 4 easter eggs.

Dark Satellite, Train Rescue, or Tunnel Recapture, anyone have any leads?

Was wondering if anyone had any new information to try and find the rare variations of the new maps?

I know the following, but I'm not apt in how to edit it in the main area, so if someone sees this and could start it for me I'd appreciate it.

I don't think there are different versions of the map for Train, so A-1 would refer to the regular map, Block 1, and B-1 would just mean a new run. A + sign means they appeared after the first spawn, a / sign means they are part of the first spawn.

These are maps that do not spawn rare enemies

Train Rescue:

A-1 3x Rogue (Opps) A-2 4x Rogue (Jasse) + 2x Gohma Mentha + 4 Gohma Mentha (sp? lol) A-3 2x Rogue (Jasse) / 2x Gohma Dilla + 2x Gohma Dilla + 4x Gohma Dilla A-4 4x Gohma Mentha + 4x Gohma Dilla + 1x Gohma Dilla (I don't think Block 4 would matter, but I wrote it down this time.)

B-1 4x Rogue (Jasse)

- Got DC'ed during block 1 ><

C-1 5x Rogue (Opps) C-2 4x Rogue (Jasse) + 3x Gohma Dilla + 2x Gohma Dilla + 2x Gohma Dilla C-3 4x Rogue (Jasse) + 2x Gohma Dilla + 2x Gohma Dilla + 2x Gohma Dilla

Dark Satellite:

  • Don't remember block rooms and dont know if there are different maps for this one, sorry*

A-1 4x Delsaban A-2 4x Pannon A-3 4x Delsaban + 4x Sendillan A-4 4x Pannon + 3x Pannon

B-1 2x Pannon / 2x Sendillan B-2 3x Delsaban + 1x Delsaban + 3x Sendillan + 3x Delsaban / 1x Jusnagun B-3 4x Pannon + 3x Gaozoran B-4 5x Super Delsaban + 3x Sendillan

Shadow Hado 13:20, 29 January 2007 (CST)Nate

I can confirm patterns A-x and C-x for Dark Satellite from the main pages layout. I got them both earlier today.

Tunnel Recapture:

I just got the Darbelan spawn in B3, for Tunnel Recapture. The mission starts off with the bridge to the right. The first spawn is Bil de Vears with Naval. I think it's Bil de Vear, Naval x2. Don't remember the b2 and b3 first spawns though :\ Starrz 17:10, 24 April 2007 (BST)

Endrum Remnants..

Keep reloading untill you git the layout where you start behind a door with the crystal. If you get Bamaltas in the first room you're good so far... On block two run accross the bridge. If Buggy's appear START OVER, If you're lucky enough there will be Seekers and special opps on the other side of the bridge. If there is you have the rare layout. After that point you will notice RED bugs that drop florecent bulb boards, and the bosses will also be RED Grinna Beta S. I've gotten this layout a couple times but no drops (other than crappy 2* sniper) so far..

Neudaiz

Does anybody have any correct layouts for any of the missions on Neudaiz?

I found Rappies on Mizuraki Defense on the route without monsters/boxes. You turn and go through a door and another door before fighting monsters. On this route there were 4 Rappies at the end. I believe the Olgohmans were the first spawn of Block 1. I did not concentrate enough to capture Block 2 or 3.

  • Update* I'm no longer confident that Olgohmons is the correct 1st spawn for route 1. :-(

Route 1: Path to the left (no boxes) has either rappies x4 or rappies x3. (Varchild Beast Lvl 68 2/23/07)

I know of one on Mizuraki Defense. Don't know if I'm correct but just to help out. Room with 3 boxes: 3 Ageetas, further in ollakas. Block 2: 5 Ageetas? Block 3: 3 or 4 ageetas --Wild Goose 22:46, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

For Rainbow Beast, on the first map in the cave, when u run past the Goshins you'll find 4 ollakas. That indicates if you have a rare map. If its 4 ageetas then it's not the right map.--Wild Goose 10:59, 27 March 2007 (BST)

  • the rare map for C-X on Holy Grounds is wrong. i got the rite amount of monsters twice but no luck or is there sumthing else i need to look for.--Wild Goose 00:27, 2 April 2007 (BST)

Valley of Carnage C-X Confirmed

I returned to Valley of Carnage two nights ago and finally got Jaggos. C-1 and C-X as far as I could tell were completely identical, for EVERY enemy spawn. I had already written out the exact spawn of C-1, and when I get C-X the only way I knew was when I got to the end of block 2. After the 2x Kog Nadd, the 4x Vanda spawn. If you kill one and more show, you got Jaggo's. This was already written earlier in the discussion, but I wanted to confirm that there is NO POSSIBLE WAY to know if you have Jaggo's until then. I even tried watch formations, but they're always the same. Shadow Hado

Just a small note. When the Jaggo's will appear.. there are actually 5 Vandas that spawn after the 2 Kog Nadds in the second room in block 2, not 4 Vandas. So, if you see 5, your good to go.. if only 4.. you wont see them.--Ren 18:06, 9 April 2007 (BST)

Black Heart Spawn?

  • I've read around this wonderful site for information on the Black Heart item, and it seems Deljabans drop them. I've also found the spawn set for them for Dark Satellite and the following mission ((Total brainfart...)) and was wondering if there was a spawn group in the middle of one of the blocks that triggered one of the Deljabans to drop the Black Heart? There are rumors about how if one of the blocks has seven total monsters in each room, you get a Black Heart drop. BUT, seeing as how it's a rumor, I've come here for proof. My character names are Ragnarok Knight, Caboose, and Skeith.Ragnarok Knight 02:31, 20 April 2007 (BST)
    • Deljabans are just the name of the S-Difficulty variant of regular Delsaban. The monster that drops the Black Heart is called Darbelan. - Miraglyth 19:50, 10 May 2007 (BST)
    • Thank you Miraglyth. Now back to the original question: Is there a specific spawn set to make the Darbelans drop the Black Heart, or is it randomized? Ragnarok Knight 22:28, 28 May 2007 (BST)
    • It's randomized. There's no particular spawn that will make Darbelans drop Black Heart, it's just luck and any Darbelan can potentially drop it. Mewn 00:18, 29 May 2007 (BST)
    • Is there a higher chance of getting a rare of a higer class mission and also the rare level setout seems to be more common when i do S rank missions!!! Please if anyone knows about how these are effected that be great? Melfice 19:56, 17 July 2007 (BST)
      • All difficulties of the mission have the same odds of a rare map appearing. --Beatrixkiddo 19:59, 17 July 2007 (BST)
        • Sorry what i mean is does Deljaban have the same blackheart drop rate in all difficulties? Melfice 18.43, 19 July 2007 (BST)
          • Deljaban is the wrong enemy =p Darbelan is what drops it. And they drop it on any difficulty with the same drop rate. --Beatrixkiddo 18:47, 19 July 2007 (BST)

Seed-Venus?

A friend of mine came across this monster last night. I have no idea what mission, he hasnt told me yet.

  • SEED-Venas is a rather special monster, at least for the time being. It appears only in the new online story mission (2-8: Flash of Ruin), where it chases you from room to room and cannot be injured. Its attack pattern is identical to that of SEED-Magashi, a boss of the offline story. SEED-Venas is not a rare monster, though, at least not for the time being. --Qwerty 16:40, 28 April 2007 (BST)

Confirmations

  • Would it be possible to add a system where people can confirm if they have found a rare map using the information on this page? maybe after a certain level of confirmation prevent that map from being changed indefinitely?
  • Also I would be up for working out the whole earliest-possible-rare-run-determining thing but it would have to be sometime after firebreak, preferably during summer break, if it's not already done by then. 12 21:34, 30 April 2007 (BST)
  • I adore this idea. This page has been hit far too much by vandalism, people mistakenly posting wrong variations, and people deleting correct variations just because they didn't realise that "The B-X I got 100 times today and no rare" was really B-1 that had the same enemies up to the rare monsters. - Miraglyth 19:50, 10 May 2007 (BST)

Bad Valley of Carnage A pattern

  • I got yesterday the A-X pattern but no jaggos. I'm guessing the A-1 is wrong and is really like A-X, and you know if you have jaggos after the gate like in C-X. This needs confirmation though. Essen 17:09, 20 May 2007 (BST)

This is confirmation ::: In the A-X, B-X and C-X Maps, the first spawn sequence of vandas must be 3+2+2 in block 2. (I've gotten them several times each) After the gate, go down the sloping path and kill the (2) Kog Nadds. Immediately after that 5 Vandas will appear spawned together at once. If you only see 4 you have the wrong map. This is the same sequence on all 3 rare maps for the second block. --Renderingdragon 22:41, 31 May 2007 (BST)

Desert terror AX

I encountered Jaggo on this map with the following spawns:

BLOCK 1 : Naval + Bil De Vear BLOCK 2 : Naval + Vanda ( not jishgahra ) Block 3 : Naval + Jaggo x 3 SINGED; -GP--GP 21:31, 27 August 2007 (BST)

  • That might explain why I could never get the A-X spawn. I've updated it.

Desert Goliath

Having seen the "red bugges" a couple of times, it seems to me that the key to knowing the rare map lies with the "special ops". If you get the same type of special ops in both blocks then you may have it. The map which begins with enemies and boxes to the right and a locked bridge to the left goes like this... BLOCK 1 ; 1st spawn=Seeker x4 ( special ops solda ) BLOCK 2 ; 1st spawn Special ops solda x 5? ( NO Grinna Beta of any kind.)RED BUGGES in final wave.Dont expect anything fancy at S2 level they drop Mira-Kikami.--GP 21:45, 27 August 2007 (BST)

However there is a map with special opps solda in both blocks but its not rare...--GP 19:09, 19 September 2007 (BST)

If someone with the know how, and the means to put pics on the map route with a brief discription of the start.... I will fill in the information as and when I can --GP 19:14, 19 September 2007 (BST)

Endrum Remnants

Has this mission been changed at all? I have been hunting for the rare map for the past 3 days and haven't gotten any of them. I used to get it before the AOI update but now maybe theres a possibility that something has changed. Can anyone confirm that these layouts still work?-Krupp

  • Perhaps more likely, you're not finding any because they're rare maps. - Miraglyth 19:06, 3 December 2007 (CST)

Thats also a possibility so I'm still trying. I just wanted to see if anyone else has gotten the rare map lately.-Krupp

Train Rescue

There is a rare map for this mission, however no rappies or other rare enemy appear. Instead, in the final room(s) block 4.Normally when you open the laser gate, 3 robots spawn then another 3, then the door opens to the final room where 4 Dilla Grienna spawn 2 at a time (S2)... well what happens on the rare map is, the 6 robots are replaced with Dilla's to a total of ten (3+3+4)Very useful hunting the S rank crossbow. Due to the lack of info previously for this mission. I believe that this map can only be found at S2 level. OK having looked it seems the map we saw was the AX , all I can recall is that both the first two blocks started with(or contained) the men with swords(Rogue Ogg?).I'm fairly certain that the third block did aswell however don't hold me to that. So it does exist.... --GP 13:55, 26 December 2007 (CST)

Initial Spawn for block 4 on Sakura Blast??? (PLEASE READ)

I'm just asking because so far i would get the right patterns for all the X's until the third spawn in block 4. It says 3 boomas...i assume the third spawn is refferin to the spawn of boomas right before you see the 3 flying mini bosses...(cant think of thier name). If thats the case, will we see 3 boomas then after you kill then you will see the jigo boomas???? or what????

Also..........is there a initial spawn for the block 4????

Its kinda of funny how i keep getting the one that is similar to the rare spawn...........

any ideas???

  • Might do you good to read the comments below the table, specifically:
    • "The rare spawn set for each route is identical to one of the non-rare variants for that route, with the single exception that the 2+2 Go Booma in B4's third spawn will be Jigo Booma."
    • "block 4: Unless otherwise noted, initial spawn is Booma x5."

Sleeping Warriors CX map

The C X map spawn is WRONG. I just got rappies in B2 and the B1 first spawn was Golomoro X4 and Badira in the boxes (3 I think), The spawn B2 was correct though. --GP 13:04, 29 February 2008 (CST)

Future?

So while I've been updating many of the mission pages, I can't help but keep notice of what's going on on this page and the already WIP transfer of the charts to their individual pages. I figure in the end this page might just revert all the way back into a rare enemy list with the mention that there are spawn charts on the mission pages themselves. Probably wouldn't be worth a sidebar mention anymore at that point. But anyway, at present I have a bit of an idea on how to keep things organized and maybe speed them up as far as the conversions go.

We could keep the missions in a chart with a color coded system (or even just a note in another column depending on how it's set up) of what condition the individual charts are in as well as links to them. It would eliminate any more possible redundancies until each chart can be properly completed. I've noticed a few instances where charts have been half done here and the mission page (but in different ways by different users).

I'm willing to get this all done and move any relevant comments about specific charts over to the mission talk pages, but I felt I didn't want to make such large changes all at once without some go ahead.S-T-H 23:33, 15 June 2008 (CDT)

  • A while back, I was messing around with a possible new look for this article once the conversion is complete. Basically, it tells how to read our spawn charts and then gives a list of missions with a link directly to their spawn chart. I need to get back into the conversion mode I was in a months ago. I guess I can only do a few at a time before I get burnt out on them. Some of the tables can be a real pain. XD - EspioKaos 18:42, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
    • Here is something in the realm of what I considered for tracking progress. I'd basically transfer everything pretty much as is (while eliminating any redundancies), then replace the current notices/redirects with these charts. Then I'd update them with the proper progress level. Doing it this way, people can see pretty easily what is and isn't done and what might just need a few tweaks to get done. S-T-H 21:48, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
      • I'm good with that. Anything to help move the conversion along. XD So I guess first we should work on moving the current tables over the their respective articles? - EspioKaos 22:48, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
        • Yea I think that would be the first thing. After that we'd be moving various talking points from this section to the mission talk pages. I'm not sure how relevant or up to date they are, but we can figure that out later (probably around the time the charts are about completed). The last thing of course would be clearing out the individual sections where the charts used to be and replacing them with that chart. All that would be needed then is to make sure the chart is about right as far as progress goes. We might end up stepping on each other's toes a bit though. If you want to start transferring the charts themselves, I'll step aside for a moment and see what I can do with the talk pages. Later I'll go through each section and see what condition the charts are in. I won't mark any higher than 'S' though (as you'd be much more familiar with how they should look as a final 'S2' version). S-T-H 23:12, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
  • Just transferred over the chart for True Darkness for kicks. (Drop in the bucket and all that, right? XD) I'll try to work on transferring more of these over in the next few days; though I might not focus on the formatting for some of them since it can be a bit tedious. - EspioKaos 23:33, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
    • Oh, please don't worry about formatting for now. Let's just get all the charts moved over (in whatever condition they're in). There already exists a variety of formats for charts on the individual pages. I just want to avoid any more charts being updated in both places (or even worse only in one). They'll be properly marked with the progress chart when things are about done on this end. S-T-H 23:38, 16 June 2008 (CDT)
