-I've started the Technics page. I was going to add a list of what type of technic each were in the two sections that would link to a more larger table. To save time I was thinking of using the table from http://psupedia.info/TECHNICs both for the descriptions and exp charts (since I assume they are accurate). With some modification I believe this should work. I didn't want to go ahead and do that since a) I wanted to run it by you and b) it is copyrights i.e. I didn't do the original work. Did you have something planned for it already? If I get your ok, I can go ahead and post and edit the tables in the technic page.

The alterations would be and possibly limited too:
 +
~Deleting online prices and rarity.
 +
~Deleting color from offline prices
 +
~Deleting Japanese translation (I doubt we need this).
 +
~Deleting 4th lvl effects.
 +
~Altering size of cells (more or less. Probably won't be me doing that).
 +

Just running it by you. You've done a great job and I hope to lighten the load.

* Yep you can, that was the plan. Don't worry about copyright as long as it comes from psupedia, all the work is under the same free license. Also you might want to check the stats for the various technic levels (% modifiers etc.). Just remember it's for the original PSU. I'll take some time after eating to put some (empty) pages for the AOTI offline mode, if I can focus on something other than HL2... That way everyone will be able to submit stuff where needed. Thanks for helping. Essen 12:43, 12 July 2008 (CDT)

As you may have noticed, I've been organizing/reorganizing a ton of pages recently trying to get things in order.  I considered something that might help out the both of us.  I'm considering dumping the currently uncategorized/badly categorized/other offline pages into a category called 'Old offline'.  Eventually we'll probably remove most (if not all) of the references to the offline pages (but I guess that's still to be discussed).  Using this category you can go through and take the information you need and eventually ask for them to be deleted or whatever I guess.  Let me know what you think.  I figured it would be good to set up a depository since it would be useless to organize the pages when you're redoing it all and they'll eventually be gone.  S-T-H 12:41, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

* Sounds good. That's about what I've done in my sandbox but better. I dunno when I can finish it I've been awfully busy with work recently. Are you gonna categorize the pages with only "some" offline content too? Essen 12:48, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

**  Hmm... maybe I could do something to that degree.  It'll probably be more difficult, but I suppose I'm sure to run across more as I've been pulling outdated articles out of all kinds of phantom fissures recently.  Eventually all the articles will only need one category, but if it's temporary it wouldn't matter all that much.  Maybe I'll make another category for 'Partial offline' or something.  I'm not going to do it right now, but I'll mention exactly what it is when I get to starting it off (probably within the next day or two).  S-T-H 13:08, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

*** You can have it easier by looking at my sandbox, I basically searched for all articles with "offline" inside and put all I found (with probably a few missing) on that page. Essen 13:14, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

**** Yea I noticed you had some lists which I'll be sure to take under consideration.  Mostly I've been able to pull up sets of offline pages pretty easily in the special pages section.  The initial batch will come really quickly.  S-T-H 21:44, 3 July 2008 (CDT)

**** Alright, it should be just about done outside of loose pages that I'll probably be adding in the future.  I named the categories as mentioned before and they should be self explanatory.  Don't worry about the eventual blanking/deletion of these pages and how it'll affect current references.  We can sort out the broken links/wanted pages pretty easily.  Just redo whatever you need from the old ones and pull any loose info from the partial ones.  S-T-H 11:46, 4 July 2008 (CDT)

I thought it would be useful to have elements of enemies in the Mission Section because it can help to plan witch weapons, lineshields and PAs to use. I would have use it to know where I was going there was Light monsters and I wouldn't have bought a lineshield with Dark %.
 +
 +
It could be added in the Enemies column after the sub-column Nb.  The only thing is to add a place to put the elements where we are in the Story Mission but not in a trial. i.e. Like the Chapiter 7, all the trial are a race and 2 bosses witch isn't representative of all enemies in this mission. Also, maybe doing differences between smalls and larges enemies if the viewer want to focus on one group (if he doesn't want to be annoyed by little thing or if he doesn't want to have difficulty with larger ones). i.e. In the Chapiter 6, there's small enemies in element fire and ice and the larger ones have the element light. --maxtal 23:07, 1 August 2008 (CDT)

* I've only taken the data already available on PSUP when I remade it. But yeah I agree with the fact that elements would be good. However if we want to have distinction between enemies it'd be best to have 1 page per mission/chapter/counter (as long as the pages don't become HUGE it's fine) with an enemy list for each mission. And it'd require a lot of work. So if you're motivated to do that please do, otherwise you can just put all the enemies elements directly in the current page in a new column. I remember when making the page that someone had it with two Us, so I just made the page that way. Thanks for the correction. ;) - Amaury 11:23, 27 June 2008 (CDT)

My Images

Hey, Essen, is there any way you could get those in a file other than .bmp? PSUPedia's uploader won't accept .bmp files. - Amaury 18:38, 15 June 2008 (CDT)

  • Sigh don't message me here for stuff like that. Essen 03:14, 16 June 2008 (CDT)

Your character table

What's the code that you're using for it?
I would like to use it for one of my sections on my page. --Amaury 16:38, 13 June 2008 (CDT)

  • Just clic on View source on the top of my user page and copy paste the code you want. Essen 17:25, 13 June 2008 (CDT)

Before you get too far

  • Before you too far into converting TP to Tech. in those articles, I think with the individual stats boxes it's supposed to be TP (or the respective stat for the weapon). I think there was a reason back when we were piecing together the weapon templates, but I'll have to check. I thought you just meant with the main listing. XD - EspioKaos 13:59, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
    • Wasn't it because it was TP written before you made the templates? Oh well anyway I'm done with these there weren't much of them so reverting if needed won't be hard either. Tho since the style choice is to write the in-game stuff it should be Tech. and not TP... Well don't worry I won't do more of them for now. Good thing either way is that I could change a wrong category on a few rods. Essen 14:08, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
      • I've been going back over old archived discussions trying to find something about this, but I haven't had much luck yet. I'll have to look more later. I'm somewhat certain there was a reason for differentiation, but yeah, like you said, since in-game menus all use stuff like Tech. and Att. instead of TP and ATP, we should probably go with that. Anyway, changing that in the weapon templates won't be difficult, plus it'll give us a chance to create new necessary templates as well as clean up existing ones that might need it. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only time stuff like TP and ATA is used is in the character stats menu.) Anyway, thanks for fixing the categories on those rods, by the way. I can't believe I didn't even notice they'd been thrown in with the wands. XD - EspioKaos 14:18, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
        • Okay. And yes, you're right about the stats. ATP in character stats, Att. in equipment stats. Same sort of things with other stats. Essen 14:24, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
  • We decided to use TP/ATP/ATP instead of Tech./Att./Acc. because NO ONE ever uses the latter to refer to anything, and the difference is the epitome of triviality. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to have to ask you to leave them as TP and friends. I'm fairly certain we voted on this, but it may have just been a general consensus that went along with the weapon template proposal vote. Regardless, I think Tech./Att./Acc. are unnecessarily confusing, and also look stupid compared to TP/ATP/ATA, so yeah, don't change any more of them please. --Qwerty 15:57, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
    • Okay, not a big deal I'll revert stuff if it wasn't done already. Then I guess I can do the reverse, set TP instead of Tech. and ATP instead of Att. etc? I won't mass edit them tho, it's more a question for episode 1 pages and future edits. Essen 01:25, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
      • I actually don't believe there was a vote on it, though Qwerty does have a point in that most people would cling onto ATP/TP/etc. despite that only really covering character stats. - Miraglyth 05:06, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
        • Yes, but then what about the weapons tables? In the manual of style the example is written with Att. and Acc. (and is like this for most pages if not all). Putting Att. in weapons tables and not in individual weapons pages is a bit misleading. I think there should be either only ATP, or both, everywhere, but not a bit of both depending on the page. Also would be a good thing if this was added to the manual of style ^^; Essen 13:35, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
          • So really a vote would be in order to sort out the matter. As you say, weapons tables (and line shield tables) already use the stats as shown for them in the game, so it'd be a case of voting for accuracy with the game itself or recognition with "the community". - Miraglyth 16:06, 29 March 2008 (CDT)

Essen!

  • Didn't realise you were set up over here. But that's my char's outfit. Get your own :P - Miraglyth 07:27, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
    • Hehe no way, you're the one who copied me I put the pic 2 days before you! Essen 08:40, 10 March 2008 (CDT)
      • Shoot, you're right. Oh well, CASTs get 7 colours of their own and I can stand some of the others. - Miraglyth 18:00, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
        • Ahah well in case you don't know the red is my trademark! (well until mayu started posting her videos on youtube and everyone thought I played jp) Essen 18:15, 14 June 2008 (CDT)

Your uber stat calculator

Just curious real quick, your listings for 130/15, are those before or after all the changes that the JP version got? I ask because I'm hoping to update our type pages with the US-version 130/15 stats, those being the current maximum level. I'll probably add in another section with the JP-version 140/20 stats as well. - Sekani 10:57, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

  • Hmm not sure about which changes you talk about but these are from february, 1. I didn't update it yet (although it might be updated in the next few days). Essen 11:24, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
    • I was specifically talking about the Guntecher TP boost and the Fortetecher HP boost (I think there was another one, not sure). - Sekani 12:31, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
      • I'm sure Guntecher boost isn't on the calculator. Not sure about the Fortetecher one. Essen 12:36, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
        • Alright, so basically those numbers should be accurate on the US servers as of now, that's what I really wanted to know. - Sekani 12:43, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
  • I just tried to submit Human Male 130 GT 15 and it's already in there...with the old TP. New TP should be 1573, everything else was the same.--JustTrio 08:56, 15 May 2008 (CDT)
    • Yeah it still isn't updated. First MAG, then other stuff. Sorry to have selfish priorities during this event. Essen 13:14, 15 May 2008 (CDT)
      • Not poking the bear, just trying to be helpful before I forget the number :) Thanks for putting it together though. --JustTrio 15:06, 15 May 2008 (CDT)
      • Cast Male 130 / GT 20 has 1020 TP now --JustTrio 11:22, 21 May 2008 (CDT)
        • Thanks. But basically if the stats are on this page it'll be corrected with the next import a few days after the end of MAG. I would import right now but due to the dynamic nature of the wiki, the structure changed since the last one and the import needs some small changes. Essen 12:46, 21 May 2008 (CDT)

Fix a little

Hey Essen. I'm in the process of adding missing pages of the PSU_offline stuff. Small things like Photons, materials, just the little reference pages. I'm not very good at using wiki stuff so you may want to look and make revisions. I will at least lay the ground work for what I think should be on these pages. I hope it hopes. Where would you like me to post additions (while I know they are in recent changes, I'm not sure if you had another place you wanted them.)

One problem I just noticed was that I thought was creating a single page of for Photons. What happened what the page I made linked with photons and a bunch of other things from this http://psupedia.info/PSU_offline:Synthesis_materials_shops . All the materials linked here and this wasn't what I wanted to happen. What I thought would happen is that when clicking a non-existent page, you can create for only that page when the word was linked "[[blah blah blah bracket bracket". How can we fix this? It's a good thing these pages haven't been created yet =/

Take care. DawgPilez 09:19, 30 June 2008 (CDT)

  • At first I wanted to write one page for all synthesis materials and put each of them in one section. Do you think it's really necessary to make multiple pages? -I've started the Technics page. I was going to add a list of what type of technic each were in the two sections that would link to a more larger table. As you may have noticed, I've been organizing/reorganizing a ton of pages recently trying to get things in order. I considered something that might help out the both of us. I'm considering dumping the currently uncategorized/badly categorized/other offline pages into a category called 'Old offline'. Using this category you can go through and take the information you need and eventually ask for them to be deleted or whatever I guess. Let me know what you think.
