Your Room, just as the name implies, is the personal living space all Guardians are given. This area can be customized by players while serving as a meeting room for up to six individuals, a storage area and even a shop.
Ambition of the Illuminus added numerous new features to Your Room, many of which are accessible only through the use of Ambition of the Illuminus-exclusive remodeling tickets. As a result, those who do not play the expansion will not be able to enter the room of a player who has upgraded their room to one of the new Illuminus styles.
Room customization
Your Room can be customized to your taste through the use of various remodeling tickets and room decorations. Remodeling tickets allow players to change the overall style of their room while decorations can be placed in different locations throughout the room. Please note that decorations exclusive to Ambition of the Illuminus cannot be placed in rooms that have not been remodeled with one of the new tickets from the expansion. Room features
Whether playing the base Phantasy Star Universe or the expansion, Your Room offers a number of useful features.
These features are available to all players, no matter which version of Phantasy Star Universe is being played.
- Partner machine: A vital part of any Guardian's life, a partner machine allows players to store extra items as well as synthesize new items such as weapons and line shields. Players can also feed their partner machine to make it evolve, thus increasing its proficiency at synthesizing certain items, and ultimately transforming it into a humanoid form which can accompany players in battle.
- Common box: Another storage area, the common box allows any deposited items to be accessed by any character on the same account.
- Dressing room: Players can use this area to change into a new outfit or set of parts.
- Vision phone: This gives players access to a number of features including a bulletin board, shop search, visitor log and more.
- Shop: Players are able to open their own shop where they can sell items that they have synthesized or found while running missions.
Illuminus features
These features are exclusive to Ambition of the Illuminus and can be accessed only through the use of one of the new remodeling tickets.
- Decoration placement grid: Players can turn on a special grid which displays all areas across the room in which decorations can be placed.
- Jukebox: Accessed through a player's partner machine, this feature allows one to change the background music of their room. New music can be added to the jukebox by using music discs which can be received from special missions and the prize exchange counter at Casino Voloyal.
- Relocation: Though not available at the present time, a future update will allow players to relocate their room to the GUARDIANS barracks on one of the three planets. This will be done with special remodeling tickets known as move passes.
- Shop decoration: When a shop is opened in a room using a new remodeling ticket, the design of the shop will now match the rest of the room.
