* Shura-hiken is a pun on Shuriken, not only evident by its name but also by its shape (a typical throwing star). Fuma-hiken is a reference to the Fuma Shuriken. No idea what Kubiri-hiken means, but Sanzu-hiken and Asura-hiken have other, non ninja-related meanings. The PSP slicers called kunahi are probably a reference to the kunai, or throwing blades/gardening tools. I'm guessing this was supposed to be a subtle reference, but they're simply called kunai in the US version. - Mewn 16:14, 25 February 2009 (CST)

* Actually come to think of it Shura-hiken is a double pun, since it also refers to the Asura (presumably the same ones Asura-hiken does). That's interesting as well because it makes all the S-rank Yohmei slicers reference Buddhism. - Mewn 16:18, 25 February 2009 (CST)

This is an example of a chart with +10 grind data (made by Tycho).  I pulled it over here since the current page updates aren't even done yet.  --S-T-H 02:40, 19 April 2009 (CDT)

hmm....

I think the Hiken may be an abbreviation of Shuriken. If you take the "S", "u", and "r" out of Shuriken, you get Hiken. Now, Say "Shuriken" then "Hiken". they sound kind of the same, well it depends on how you pronounce each word... but what do you all think? tiger 16:23, 13 February 2009 (CST)

  • Technically, "hiken" is a Japanese word that translates as "flying blade." 飛剣 is the kanji for the word. - EspioKaos 18:06, 14 February 2009 (CST)
    • Hmm... ok point well taken.
  • Shura-hiken is a pun on Shuriken, not only evident by its name but also by its shape (a typical throwing star).
  • Actually come to think of it Shura-hiken is a double pun, since it also refers to the Asura (presumably the same ones Asura-hiken does). That's interesting as well because it makes all the S-rank Yohmei slicers reference Buddhism. - Mewn 16:18, 25 February 2009 (CST)
