* I can very easily add the PA text next to the icon for PA frags so we won't have that grey background.  I also intended on making an icon for vol coins. I'll try making one for each type (gold, silver, bronze).  I'm not sure whether to make them with the letters VC following.  Of course, this is all dependent on what everyone wants to use as standard and should probably be voted on at some point. - Propagandist 00:04, 4 January 2008 (CST)

* If you mean the subtle grey tone to the background of this icon , it's deliberate. The tone matches the wikitable standard background, and looks a little better than a pure white background. If you're still seeing the very dark icon, you may want to refresh your page for the new one to display properly. =D As for a VC icon, would we prefer (coin)VC, or perhaps V(coin) instead? - Spirit 00:57, 4 January 2008 (CST)

Very nice! I'm more partial to the top table as well. Now for a few notes:

• The prices won't really need the icons. Meseta values are pretty much assumed across the site whenever a number is placed in a "price" or "fee" column. In the cases of items that are traded for other currency, we'd use PAFs for PA Fragments or VCs for Vol Coins.
• As you stated, no need for the Japanese names in these charts.
• I love the idea of having a screenshot to represent each TECHNIC. Ultimately, I'd love to have shots of each tier to represent the visual growth of a TECHNIC. This would have to be saved for individual articles, however.
• I don't really think the manufacturer (or GUARDIANS branch) icons are necessary, though I'm not certain of what could fill their spots.

Still, excellent work! - EspioKaos 08:54, 3 January 2008 (CST)

• Thanks EspioKaos! =D I have a few responses too..
• The reason I put the currency icons in there, is because we have a lot of icons for other things. It seemed odd to me that we were still using text for only a few things, such as PAF's, and not supplying an icon for meseta in particular. I mean, we use the GRM-logo.png icon instead of 'GRM' for example, so doesn't it make sense to use Meseta icon.PNG, and PAfrag icon.PNG (or something better) to indicate the type of currency also?
• I like the idea of having a screenshot for each tier of a tech. Actually, this table is meant to be the 'front page' of each tech, and clicking on the tech's name would lead you to a page dedicated to that tech alone. On that page would be 4 (eventually 5) screenshots of the tech in action, as well as a more detailed set of information including the exact Tech. value for each level, the exact number of hits required to level that tech from 0%->100% for each level, etc.
• I'll probably make a few minor changes to this table tomorrow, then expand it to cover all techs of one element, so that we can start to see what it will look like on a larger scale. More feedback would be great though! As well as any suggestions for anything I've missed that should be listed. - Spirit 12:47, 3 January 2008 (CST)
• I took the liberty of trying to create an icon for PA frags. PA frag test.png I've only spent a few minutes on it so far and there are a few things I'd like to change about it. I figured I'd put it up to see if I should continue to refine the image. Propagandist 14:13, 3 January 2008 (CST)
• I do like this test PA icon, though I must admit I'd prefer it to include the letters 'PA' for those who don't know what the fragment looks like in one's inventory. While we're taking liberties, I've added said 'PA' to your icon, and uploaded it over the icon I was using for the chart. When you've had the chance to refine the icon you've made, we can replace it. Thanks Propagandist! - Spirit 22:37, 3 January 2008 (CST)
• This is slightly off-topic, but I'd suggest the same for VC's where applicable - though that might only be an issue for items that cost some Gold and 0 Silver/Bronze coins. Meseta is easily recognisable by anyone who has played a few missions though, so the meseta icon should be okay as it is. It would also be nice if these icons could be added to the Manual of Style for standardisation. - Spirit 22:37, 3 January 2008 (CST)
