GUARDIANS Chronicle

GUARDIANS Chronicle is an upcoming event for the Xbox 360 servers which is scheduled to begin on December 16, 2011. The equivalent Japanese PC/PS2 version began July 8, 2010, and ran through August 5, 2010.

The GUARDIANS have spearheaded numerous successful military operations and training exercises, recording valuable experience data along the way. Using this data, a new training simulator has been created, not only to help bring incredible results to new GUARDIANS recruits, but also to offer other private security organizations an opportunity to learn and train from some of Gurhal's finest achievements. As a result of these efforts, some of the GUARDIANS' previous operations have been converted into virtual reality for a project known as "GUARDIANS Chronicle."

Event overview

GUARDIANS Chronicle revives some of the more popular missions from events held over the prior years, bringing with them more difficult challenges as well as brand new rewards. Initially, one mission each will be available from Shred the Darkness and 1Up Platinum Cup, but a later update will add a mission from the very first major event of Phantasy Star Universe, Operation Firebreak!

As with most other events, an overall kill count will be recorded and used to unlock a variety of rewards for everyone, but this time a new individual kill count system will be implemented. See the rewards section below for more information.

Event rewards

For the duration of GUARDIANS Chronicle, the total number of enemies defeated will be tracked not only as a whole for all participants, but also on an individual basis. While the cumulative total will be used to unlock a variety of panel rewards, the individual totals will earn players unique rewards as they rack up enemy kills.

Individual rewards

Aside from the server-wide enemy kill count, an individual counter will tally all of the enemies you take down (or lend a hand in taking down) during GUARDIANS Chronicle. After getting a decent number of kills under your belt, pay a visit to Clamp Manuel in the event prologue mission, Chronicle HQ, to verify your individual counter. As you reach certain milestones, Clamp will present you with a special reward.
