These items aren't 'cards' perse, but all of the items are well related to the word. These following items are actually the most important of all merchandise, however, they are not needed to play the game (although the Net Cash cards are one step to allowing JP PSU play). Some cards are affiliated with network play and some of the following items can be your telephone and even lenghty books as well.

In 'card' merchandise, there is / are:
Memory card
The 8MB PSU memory card is like all other PS2 memory cards; it stores game memory. When bought here, you will receive an Organizations Emblem. Sega has a history of releasing limited edition memory cards such as the Sonic Heroes one for PS2. This costs about 3,000 yen.
Net Cash card
PSU Net Cash cards are used to play on PSU JP servers. There was a fraud in the past, after which it became possible only to get these cards through convenience stores in Japan. Net Cash cards replace other credit cards, and foreigners (living outside Japan) must buy this if they wish to play on the JP servers; SIGN will not accept foreign credit cards. Those in Japan can simply use a major credit card or phone card to play on the servers. These card's cost value can range from 1,000 yen to 3,000 to even 5,000. Then there will monthly fees which will be 1,050 yen after your first month.
Phone card
PSU phone cards have been around ever since 1976 and their use has not obsolete since. There are six phone cards with a PSU design on them, including Story Characters such as Ethan, Karen, Mirei, and Maya; some with two characters on it. Phone cards are small and are used to pay telephone services.
Book card
This PSU book card, an item otherwise childishly referred to as a 'book saver', are meant to be inserted into a book page with each read. This item may not be very useful, but it is another collectible for PSU fans.
