Overview
A Truer Introduction
I'm responsible for a large amount of calamity between people who I regarded as friends once. This article will concern matters I've been involved in and their effect on the overall community rather than a blatant self-proclamation.
The wolves are still free to gnaw at my ankles at any given time.
The channel known as #phantasystar was one crafted by the wish to combine efforts in order to accomplish the following; promote community growth, sever unnecessary dramatic ties and establish a unified point for conversation between individuals who enjoyed the game -- relative not to the game alone. The idea of this community was a rehashed one from before I had entered #pso, a channel founded by Mech259 which a few of PSUP's past and current SysOps have had a part in.
The time before Ahzi and a few others introduced me I'm positive was a utopia for information regarding the game, and also offered the premier experience between like-minded individuals the game so vicariously needed at the time. After being banned a few times by the administration I took a 6 month break from PSO to tackle some pressing life matters, such as going to jail and not collecting 200 dollars while trying to skate past high school at the same time. Once that issue was over, I came back to my messengers to screw around with people as usual, however Zael had pulled me aside to check #pso out yet again, only to result in more chaotic behavior, bans, and misappropriated judgment. I started to begin to realize that the people who operated the channel were doing no more than sufficing their own ends in a community obviously doomed to Phantasy Star Universe; a game that would wipe the floor in looks, customizing, arsenals, the works.
After I teased a good lot of PSO's diminishing population off of the game and some close to suicide, I transferred to #psu. It offered, to me, much more than a place to pointlessly assault others over a half-assed MMO. Instead, the community showed the desire to push forward with a concept that would evolve into what you've probably already searched and known as PSUPedia. The project had shifted hands multiple times on multiple servers, and stability was a long shot to say the least. Perhaps it still is, but I don't know the position the SysOps are in; to be honest, it's not my water to tread.
Finding #phantasystar
Once #psu had been crafted, the founders/operators assigned and PSUP created, things began to spiral in the short year that transpired. Pointless drama circumventing the breaches of whatever "rules" set up at the time gave way to the birth of #psu-aoti; a channel headed by Zael in order to offer the community a place to escape the nonsense #psu spit out. Needless to say it was anything but, however that's neither here nor there.
I won't get into the nitty gritty about who did what and why, but it got to the point where somebody as vain as myself had witnessed what monstrosity they had created and began to make a plan to break the cycle. I had talked to operators from both sides in order to come to an agreement and after a month's time, I was successfully able to reform #psu with a new name: #phantasystar. This wasn't possible without everybody else, and that's exactly the premise of this article.
I am not the adhesive that kept everybody together. Instead, a method of reversal was put into place so flawlessly that the community is overlooking their boundaries, with or without me. This mess won't happen again. As for PSUP, I still plan to contribute a fair lot to the community after I'm done fixing my computer.
Personal Information
My birth name is Anthony. I'm 19 years old and I was born on June 1, 1988. I work at Super Target as a logistics member -- in short, this means I throw shit.
I'm nearing completion of my CCNA/CCNP curricula, I am CompTIA trained, and I happen to be going for the Hardware/OS test in mid-2008. IT has been my waste of time for the past three years, and I earnestly recommend it to those who prefer total monotony and painstaking term memorization. The tl;dr version? Don't fucking do it.
I'm also a self-proclaimed musician, studying the functions of Tore Ylwizaker, Tony Wakeford, Kim Larsen, et cetera -- purpose being that of furthering theory and concept. You can find Solacium, my two-piece acoustic folk band, here. A matter of less importance yet worthy of mention; I have worked on covers for bands such as Dark Tranquillity, Nine Inch Nails, Ulver, Agalloch and DragonForce (DF being a total joke) and I also command a progressive black metal band in which I perform all instruments called Ilnain. More information on that to come sometime else, but should anybody wish to hear my covers, head to my contact information and throw me a message through whatever protocol you prefer.

Wall of Shame
At a later date, this will be updated. The picture received sometime in October is to your right for demonstration of the occult grimness my very existence has wrought on the community.
