Various subplots are available in Episode 3, all of which are dependent upon the choices you make as the story progresses. Introduced by the fourth chapter, Farewell to Mother, these subplots can be accessed by clearing this and then replaying previous chapters. Upon going back to previous story missions (and provided that the required criteria are met), you will find new event sequences and choices are presented to you. Lou subplot
Requirements
- You must have cleared all Episode 2 story missions.
- Farewell to Mother 1 (EP3 Ch.4-1) and Farewell to Mother 2 (EP3 Ch.4-2) must have been cleared.
Additional events
After the above-mentioned requirements have been met, the following new events will occur by meeting the listed requirements.
- Complete Despair and Hope 1 (EP3 Ch.1-1) on any difficulty with a grade of S. A new scene with a malfunctioned Lou unit will be unlocked.
- Complete Farewell to Mother 1 (EP3 Ch.4-1) on any difficulty with a grade of S. Before the trial in the second act begins, you will be given a choice to either take Lou with you or not. Take her with you and complete Farewell to Mother 2 (EP3 Ch.4-2) with a grade of S.
Olson subplot
Requirements
- You must have completed the Lou route all the way up to clearing Farewell to Mother 2 (EP3 Ch.4-2) with a grade of S.
- (The Results of Ambition 1) (EP3 Ch.5-1) and (The Results of Ambition 2) (EP3 Ch.5-2) must have been cleared.
Additional events
After the above-mentioned requirements have been met, the following new events will occur by meeting the listed requirements.
- Complete Will of Light 2 (EP3 Ch.3-2) on any difficulty with a grade of S to initiate a new scene involving a conversation between Ethan and Lumia.
- Clear (The Results of Ambition 2) (EP3 Ch.5-2) with a grade of B or better to initiate a new scene after the boss battle. (The content of this scene changes slightly depending on your grade.)
