Current values accurate?

  • Ok... after the second update all the meseta values and mission points are different... I think a wipe of the values should be in order to be sure that we get updated values again... Mrurl42 01:08, 10 December 2006 (PST)
  • From the looks of things, it seems like the reward for Rank C for all missions is 0 meseta, 0 experience (at least, as far as I can tell, I've seen it from all missions of rank C and B, though I can't totally confirm A) - maybe that column is unnecessary? Though I do notice that there's one entry that lists 100 meseta as a reward for C - can't confirm that. --SiegeV 20:00, 5 December 2006 (EST)
  • I've got totally different numbers for the mission rewards. Are those from the beta? Do they need updating? --JPD002 22:24, 8 September 2006 (PDT)
  • Yes. I'll scrap all of them. >_> - Tycho
  • I just added the names of all the missions in kanji (so those of us who can't read it can at least match the symbols ^-^) and I noticed that some of the reward values differ from the JP Wikisite (where I copied and pasted the mission names from) and some mission listed on that site are not listed here. My level isn't high enough to confirm it, but I just thought I'd mention it. Gold ninja 19:00, 26 March 2007 (BST)

Mission Details

Along with the mission rank/exp/meseta information, why not also list:

  • The 3~6 enemies that are present in the mission.
  • The boss/sub-boss of the mission (e.g. SEED-Vance on Fight for Food)
  • The mission's destination?

Miraglyth 18:18, 17 November 2006 (PST)

    • Yes, ofcourse. The destination stuff really requires a flow-chart of some sort. Since the content is subject to expansion all the time, I'm leaning more towards using a table than to put this in an image. I believe some of the monster stuff was currently listed in the Monsters page (Drops has some too), which never really made sense in the first place. On a slightly less related topic, this page has some info on Monster stats (but kind of sucks due to vague figures); this one contains info not only on the rare ones, but also on the map/spawn patterns that dictate whether these will at all appear. I do not know if this would affect what other Monsters appear at all (which perhaps sounds far-fetched), but despite that it might be interesting nonetheless. - Tycho 02:00, 18 November 2006 (PST)
  • Heh, I'd thought of flowcharts too. I'd been trying to draw such flowcharts for Parum and Moatoob. They've developed into area - counter - mission - area - counter - mission - etc. affairs and become surprisingly messy when you involve missions that end at their start point (Sleeping Warriors), and missions that involve backtracking (there's currently one rumoured if you backtrack after Gol Dova). But it's definitely doable and shows a lot better than I believe a table could. - Miraglyth 07:44, 18 November 2006 (PST)

Outpost/Lobbies

These seem to go by multiple names, and not just the translated JP names. The same area in the game is simaultaneously called "Raffon Meadow: Field Base", "Raffon Meadow Outpost", "Alliance Military Base" and simply "Raffon Base".

My suggestion would be to try and standardize all of these by the name shown when they're loading, so the above example would be "Raffon Meadow: Field Base". - Miraglyth 18:18, 17 November 2006 (PST)

  • Yeah, sounds good. I think it'd be nice if we could list all of the used names somehow though, to avoid confusion. - Tycho 02:00, 18 November 2006 (PST)
  • I like the sound of this. - Miraglyth 07:26, 18 November 2006 (PST)

Start Points?

A number of places (notably this Missions page and the new Updates page) are starting to list start points, and some of these are inconsistent. Some use the name of the outpost (e.g. Raffon Meadow: Field Base) and some use the name of the mission counter (e.g. Holtes Flyer Base).

My suggestion for this would be to list both. This would mean that, say, Sleeping Warriors starts from the mission counter "Lakeside Park" in the area "Raffon Meadow: Field Base", and that Mad Creatures starts from the mission counter "Flyer Base" in the area "Holtes City: East District". This would both help avoid confusion and provide a better level of detail to the information. - Miraglyth 18:18, 17 November 2006 (PST)

  • Ah, yes, indeed. Moreover, this will be pretty much needed in some cases, like to differentiate between the Linear Line and HIVE counters. - Tycho 02:00, 18 November 2006 (PST)

Story Missions (Network)

  • I'd like to start up a section on the network mode story missions. I was about to start adding information to this section, but it's already getting pretty large with just the free missions, so I'm holding off until I get some opinions. Should I just start a new section made specifically for the story missions? EspioKaos 10:26, 26 December 2006 (CST)
  • Yeah, sounds great. There's one particular thing I think would be pretty interesting here. I've read on the Japanese official site that at some point the content for the first four story missions got altered, while the fifth got added. Might wanna look out for this; I'm wondering what they changed. - Tycho 06:54, 28 December 2006 (CST)
  • Very interesting, indeed. If I come across any further details on that, I'll let you know. EspioKaos 13:21, 30 December 2006 (CST)
