Rods or Long Staffs?
- It's just hit me - the board for Howrods describes them as a "Long Staff", and other boards in particular also seem to describe this weapon as "Long Staff". For the same reasons that bows are really "Longbows", should this article be renamed? - Miraglyth 19:21, 21 January 2007 (CST)
- Actually, on further inspection, all rods have "long staff" in their description. But why are bows called "longbows" anyway? I can't see any incidence of "long bow" in the game itself. - Miraglyth 19:28, 21 January 2007 (CST)
- Taken from JP I believe (ロングボウ = Longbow), but on US they're just called 'Bows'. Personally I prefer Longbows, if only because 'Bow' can potentially be confused with Crossbow. Mewn 07:32, 22 January 2007 (CST)
- Ah, but preference has no bearing on anything. If the game makes a point to call them "bow" all the time, then they must be bows. See: Photon Fortune, Universe Transporter, Save Marker et cetera. - Miraglyth 03:46, 23 January 2007 (CST)
- On even further inspection, it turns out that "sabers" are "blades" and all incidences of "twin" are "pair of". - Miraglyth 06:09, 23 January 2007 (CST)

- Yeah, 'Longbows' was just an old manual translation. I should have noticed this one's different too. -_- - Tycho 09:51, 22 January 2007 (CST)
