* Originally I was thinking that the mission name would be enough to differentiate between ''PSU'' and ''AOTI'' drops, but I doubt such would be the case for new folks and even some of the more long-time players.  Hopefully more information will come out soon on these dual drops, that way we can decide what direction to take with this.  Maybe it will remain as simple as "this item drops only in ''PSU'' missions while this item drops only in ''AOTI'' missions."  If they go for a more complex drop system, then uh... well, we'll figure something out. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 13:34, 30 May 2008 (CDT)

** In Japan's May 8th update, there were drop changes to monsters in AotI missions.  It was probably either to correct these inconsistencies or to release even more items.  I haven't heard anything out of JP myself, so I wouldn't know.  Whichever way it goes though, it should be more noticeable what they're trying to do. - [[User:S-T-H|S-T-H]] 20:27, 30 May 2008 (CDT)

Future drop changes

LV80 - Viedima

  • This presents an interesting situation. BUG's current drop at LV80 is [B] Falchion, but it was recently discovered that in an AOTI mission, they drop an AOTI-exclusive weapon. It's an easy workaround as far as the templates go (we can just make a section of the template for AOTI drops, so that the code would be typed out {{YG-01Z BUG | AOTI 80}} for use in AOTI missions and {{YG-01Z BUG | 80}} for any other mission), but now I'm curious how many other PSU enemies will begin to receive AOTI drops as an alternative. Oh, and the individual enemy drop charts are an easy fix, too. We can just make each level span two rows, the top for the enemy's PSU drop, the bottom for its AOTI drop. For example:
LV Drop item Mission
80-89 [B] Falchion Endrum Remnants S, Desert Goliath S
Viedima Illusionary Shaft A

  • Just to avoid confusion I prefer this:
LV Drop item Mission
80-89 Phantasy Star Universe [B] Falchion Endrum Remnants S, Desert Goliath S
Ambition of the Illuminus Viedima Illusionary Shaft A
  • This, of course, assumes that Falchion only drops in PSU missions. If it doesn't, the PSU logo can be removed. - Mewn 11:39, 30 May 2008 (CDT)
  • Such an addition crossed my mind, but I think it'd look better with the icons in their own column instead of floating to the side:
LV Drop item Ver. Mission
80-89 [B] Falchion Phantasy Star Universe Endrum Remnants S, Desert Goliath S
Viedima Ambition of the Illuminus Illusionary Shaft A
  • Originally I was thinking that the mission name would be enough to differentiate between PSU and AOTI drops, but I doubt such would be the case for new folks and even some of the more long-time players. Hopefully more information will come out soon on these dual drops, that way we can decide what direction to take with this. Maybe it will remain as simple as "this item drops only in PSU missions while this item drops only in AOTI missions." If they go for a more complex drop system, then uh... well, we'll figure something out. - EspioKaos 13:34, 30 May 2008 (CDT)
