We need some reference pictures. There was a discussion recently about the Gol Dolva forms on the official forums. Protectors Zeta has a form of Gol Dolva that is scarred like this one and carries seemingly the same drops. However, it looks in color scheme to be closer to the normal one. They're all fire though...so...question mark? I was thinking we could change the term to 'scarred' or something. I'm not sure what would be best, but we could probably just put pictures of the different ones in the gallery. --S-T-H 03:01, 13 October 2009 (UTC) | We need some reference pictures. * After I finished up some ζ runs tonight, I headed over to The Mad Beasts with this in mind. Here's a good shot of the Gol Dolva in that mission. Same turquoise scars on its legs. When Arika says "burning fire" and "red dot," it seems he thinks the Dolvas in Firebreak and Shred the Darkness had another glowy fire effect, maybe similar to the contaminated ground. To be honest, though, I don't think they did. Really, the only way to tell which version you've got is by confirming drops. Originally, I thought maybe the type could be confirmed just by the area it's in; if it's fire-contaminated, then that's the version you have. However, with the ????? area in ζ taking place in the forest (albeit underground), that shoots that idea down. I'd almost say we could call it Gol Dolva (event version) or something, but since it didn't drop Guld in Protectors α+ S2, that doesn't work, either. Then again, that technically wasn't a full event to begin with. - EspioKaos 03:35, 13 October 2009 (UTC) | * After I finished up some ζ runs tonight, I headed over to The Mad Beasts with this in mind. + | ** You sort of blocked out a portion of the leg I was looking at earlier, but that's okay. There was a sort of texture for being contaminated with something that seemed like fire. I managed to pull up this video from Shred the Darkness. The Gol Dolva are around four minutes in. Then check this video about 17 minutes in for The Mad Beasts. The reason I pulled up some videos is that there was something that I thought about earlier. Was there a size difference or am I seeing things? Maybe another video would help (9:40). I also thought back to story mode. That would be one and a half minutes in in this video. It's a different color scheme from those even. I just don't know, I might be tired. Obviously you can see for yourself right now over there and you probably would have brought it up already. As far as the event drops go, I don't think that Alpha+ counts because that area was taken from a non-event mission. The Summer Event's was taken from StD. If we went with some sort of event version that would probably be fine. --S-T-H 05:45, 13 October 2009 (UTC) | ||
** So I take back what I said about the fire contaminated ones not looking different. Lina just showed me this picture from Shred the Darkness. <_<; - EspioKaos 05:19, 13 October 2009 (UTC) | ** So I take back what I said about the fire contaminated ones not looking different. Scars
We need some reference pictures. There was a discussion[1] recently about the Gol Dolva forms on the official forums. --S-T-H 03:01, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

- You sort of blocked out a portion of the leg I was looking at earlier, but that's okay. There was a sort of texture for being contaminated with something that seemed like fire. I managed to pull up this video[2] from Shred the Darkness. The Gol Dolva are around four minutes in. Then check this video[3] about 17 minutes in for The Mad Beasts. The reason I pulled up some videos is that there was something that I thought about earlier. Was there a size difference or am I seeing things? Maybe another video[4] would help (9:40). I also thought back to story mode. That would be one and a half minutes in in this video[5].
