****** No, I like winamp. :< It fits at the top of my screen and doesn't interfere with my windows, while still not requiring me to leave my current window to view it. Always on top and such. ******** I'd rather it be at the top than at the bottom. I've used Media Player's taskbar function and I didn't like it, and I've no reason to use iTunes, having no iPod or what not and no desire to buy DRM'd music. --[[User:Qwerty|Qwerty]] 17:09, 29 April 2008 (CDT)

..PB? Where did these titles come from? I'm curious because I'm trying to tag a collection of MP3s I have. >.>
--Kit 23:37, 3 April 2008 (CDT)

  • From the Perfect Bible. Everything in this is true (at the time of release). Essen 05:03, 4 April 2008 (CDT)
  • Right. I used the Perfect Bible to associate disc numbers with names, but I used the localized names which some folks came across due to a lag glitch which made sections of the jukebox playlist appear randomly. That's why some of the names are kind of weird... "World and Me" which originally was "World with me." "Growl of Dark Faith" was "Growl, From the Dark Faith," and others. - EspioKaos 08:37, 4 April 2008 (CDT)
    • Neat. We can probably make pages for them then! I have every single bit of music from the game (courtesy of a friend on pso-world who ripped them straight from the PS2 data files), so I can make samples of nearly everything. ^-^

Only problem is that there's a few tracks that I don't have properly named yet, so I don't know what they are. :\
      --Kit 09:08, 4 April 2008 (CDT)
      • Well when you figure them out, you can fill in the blanks for the few that I'm missing.
        http://psupedia.info/audio/ - Sekani 16:51, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
        • I found three you're missing: Paracabana Coast, This is my Happiness, and The Rub Rabbits. I can get you the first two, but I dunno which one the third is. I think it might be one of the tracks I emailed Espio to figure out.

I can't export to WMA. Would MP3 or OGG work for you?
          --Kit 17:35, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Either or, I can do the WMA conversions myself. - Sekani 17:52, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Uploaded them both. PSU Disc 80 and SC5 Disc. Even edited them to the 50-second limit you have on your own, along with the 3 second fade. :)
            --Kit 17:56, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Rub Rabbits should be easy to identify. - Tycho 18:14, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Yeah, you're right, it was. XD Here ya go! Rub Rabbits Disc
            --Kit 18:42, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
        • OK, all good so far. Still need to identify PSO Disc 7 (Rose confession) and PSU Disc 72 (Ethan) to finish the collection. - Sekani 22:20, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
    • If you want, Kit, you can send me some samples of the songs you're not certain about. (espiokaosATgmailDOTcom) I'm pretty familiar with the game's music, so I may be able to identify the ones you're missing. Unless they're the ones from the moving comic... I don't know their official names. - EspioKaos 16:57, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
      • Emailed some of the tracks I can't figure out. Alot of skit scenes I think.
        --Kit 17:35, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
  • From the files you e-mailed me, Kit, here are their names:
aoti019 - "The Rub Rabbits" (Akachan wa doko kara kuru no? Where do babies come from? etc.) But, I see you've already ID'd that one. ;)
aoti081 - This one doesn't have its own name, but it's as you thought, part of a skit. It was combined with other similar tunes in a track called "Comedy" on the OST.
aoti082 - Ditto.
aoti083 - Ditto.
aoti103 - This is the second half of Mirei's theme, appropriately enough called "Mirei" on the OST.
aoti113 - "Empty space out of control PART2" from PSO. It's the normal battle theme of the mines.
aoti115 - Best PSO song ever! "Revolution to the origin PART2" This is the normal battle theme of the ruins.
aoti137 - This one doesn't have an official name that I know of, but it's part of "Save This World - Orchestra Ver." Mainly used for melancholy story chapter endings.
en_aoti008' - "For Brighter Day - Orchestra Ver." I don't think this one's been used in-game yet, but I'm expecting it to accompany the staff roll of Episode 3.

Hope this helps! - EspioKaos 19:29, 6 April 2008 (CDT)

    • Alot of them do. The only problem is that I already have a track called "Mirei" and it's the same one that's in-game already. Not sure what to call the one I have without a name, because I know the "Mirei" I have is right. :P
      --Kit 20:14, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
    • Oh, you wouldn't happen to have Artist names for the two PSO tracks would you? ^-^;
      --Kit 20:17, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
      • If you want, you could replace the tracks with the version from the OST that has both parts combined. (http://gh.ffshrine.org/song/7124/25)  ;) And the artist names I do indeed have. "Empty space out of control PART2" was composed by Fumie Kumatani while "Revolution to the origin PART2" was composed by Hideaki Kobayashi. - EspioKaos 20:23, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
      • I just named the two files I have as Mirei Part 1 and Mirei Part 2. Wow, now the only tracks I don't have named are those three skit ones. All the rest have titles. Now I just need to track down the artist name for a few of the newer AotI tracks (Voloyal, Paracabana, Laia, etc) and I'll actually have a complete soundtrack collection. o.o

..would anyone be interested in it at some point? >.>?
        --Kit 20:39, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Not that it really helps narrow it down at all, but practically every track is either Hideaki Kobayashi, Fumie Kumatani, or Kenichi Tokoi. --Qwerty 20:44, 6 April 2008 (CDT)
  • Sekani: If you've got the ripped MP3s like what Kit has, "Rose confession" is aoti029. For the most part, it's a piano solo with some background string accompaniment. (I just realized while listening to the AOTI version that it's been cut in twain. The original version gets all jazzy-swingy toward the middle, but this version loops only the slow part.) - EspioKaos 00:27, 7 April 2008 (CDT)

  • Just saw a user link a RealMedia file as an audio sample. Do I need to email samples out for proper linking? I don't know about you guys, but I avoid RealMedia like the plague that it is. :P
    --Kit 15:53, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
    • Why are we using wmas anyway? They don't play in the browser like mp3s do, so I don't see why we're doing that. And Kit, I don't understand what you are asking. --Qwerty 15:59, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
      • Check PSO Disc 7. I can't listen to whatever it is he just linked because I'm at work, but something tells me it's not in our best interest.
As for why WMAs, they offer increased sound quality without unnecessarily large file sizes. And they should play in most browsers, yours might just be set up funny. - Sekani 16:09, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
        • Well, when I click on an mp3, it opens a page where Quicktime plays it. When I click on a wma, my computer stalls for a few seconds, and then it opens in winamp, which proceeds to not be able to play it. This is in Firefox, so I probably need some plugin or something. Anyway, regarding PSO Disc 7, it's a wma, so I can't tell what it is, and I'd rather not download the file from some site I've never heard of. Think I'm going to remove the link until we can get it hosted on here. --Qwerty 16:17, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
          • Try setting Quicktime to your default player for WMA files. Then uninstall FailAmp :P - Sekani 16:47, 29 April 2008 (CDT)
