Maintenance Log

From The re-PSUPedia
Jump to: navigation, search

Due to the popularity of the wiki, the old servers for which it was based, were not adequate for the resources which it consumed. After performing an upgrade on the server’s processors, ram and compilation of various software, the wiki then decided to give quirks. As a last resort, the wiki was upgraded to version 1.1.10 manually, so various things such as Luck and other extensions may or may not be working. If you experience errors while browsing any of the wiki, please state below:

  • Where you saw the error
  • The URL at which the error occurred
  • What you were doing or trying to do when the error happened
  • Your e-mail address

Although the good news is that the wiki should be lot more faster!

I’ve modified a lot of the wiki code, to ensure it makes full use of the new resources’ allocated to it.

The URL system for the wiki has also changed, so please be mindful and update your bookmarks!

A slight suggestion to other staff, if you can start breaking up long pages into smaller blocks as they seem to put unnecessary stress on the wiki's parser.

They can be found here by visiting here, Special:Longpages, the top post pages on that list.

Error Logs

Uploading

Attempting an upload to a file using the file uploading tool ( http://psupedia.info/Special:Upload ) from the toolbox produces an internal error with a message akin to: Could not copy file "/tmp/php2df8si" to "/home/psupedia/public_html/images/a/aa/Saiyuhoh.jpg".

I've taken a look into it, just some minor issues with permissions that the new install of the Wiki didn't copy over from the old. I've confirmed that it's working now. --DreamXG 20:58, 26 May 2007 (BST)
