The re-PSUPedia:To-do list

From The re-PSUPedia

Jump to: navigation, search

After noticing the current workflow on the wiki, I thought it would be alot easier if frequent editors and PSUPedia staff, made requests here for any programming/technical tasks that need to be carried out on the wiki. Of course, current discussion pages can still be used, this page is just for tasks of more importance/urgency. i.e Security, Patches, User Features, etc.

So simply state the task you want done, (fully explaining it), and leave your signature, if the request is approved, I'll message you shortly to either let you know of its completion or difficulties I had fulfilling your request.

Many Thanks. --DreamXG 16:22, 26 December 2006 (CST)

Submitted Request List

  • Standardise (or set a project for standardisation of) the articles for weapons such as Spears or Rifles. - Miraglyth 20:26, 16 June 2007 (BST)
    • Made a start, using Spears as an example. Linky. Discussion requested! - Miraglyth 21:41, 16 June 2007 (BST)
  • Create a modernised template each for weapons, line shields, room goods, et cetera that does not contain redundant information such as Partner Machinery feed value, for use in articles for that specific item. - Miraglyth 20:26, 16 June 2007 (BST)
  • Optimization of long pages (can be found here Special:Longpages), can they be broken down? These tend to bring some overhead to the wiki's processing queues. --dreamXG 22:12, 18 June 2007 (BST)
    • Most of the "Long Pages" seem to be pages with significant amounts of data in tables. If you really want a performance increase (and to simultaneously increase readability of the site), the wiki should probably be split into "Online" and "Offline" versions. Possibly, the "Offline" version could be relocated to http://offline.psupedia.info/. That would cut down a lot of these pages to a reasonable size. --Toshimo 21:15, 30 June 2007 (BST)

Completed Request List

  • Firefox Plugin Page -- DreamXG 16:32, 26 December 2006 (CST)
  • Disable wfRunPHPpage - Is this still needed? It seems REALLY insecure... --Seikas2 09:55, 1 January 2007 (CST)
    • It was being used for future development, it has now been removed. --DreamXG 18:56, 2 January 2007 (CST)
