** Co-op missions are basically free missions, but require 2+ people to S/clear the mission. Such as Crimson Beast and Cost of Research. Don't beat yourself up over it though, it's not that big a deal :) [[User:Saiffy|Saiffy]] 15:08, 20 February 2008 (CST)

*** Yeah, it's really not a big deal at all.  I guess I made it out to be bigger than it really was.  So, no worries.  :)  And right, what Saiffy said.  Co-ops are basically free missions that can be soloed, but you cannot get an S rank on them if you solo, generally because there are rooms that require two or more people to activate switches to unlock doors that lead to rooms with more enemy spawns.  There are some free missions that have co-op features ([[Awoken Serpent]], for example), but these can still be S-ranked by yourself since the doors that are unlocked by multi-person switches only lead to boxes.  Anyway, I guess the next step we should take is deciding exactly what new information we want to add to the template.  I love the idea of inserting a planet name to auto-color the title bar.  (Actually, I'd been kind of curious about how to make conditional template thingers like that.  Thank you for showing us how.)  We should also decide if we want to categorize all missions by only their type or if we want to go further to categorize by type and location.  The auto-population idea is a great one for the [[Free missions|free missions]] article, but is it possible to have the list that's generated appear in normal text?  It looked kind of odd with everything in italics.  I think I had more to ask, but I'm drawing a blank right now.  D:  If I remember what it was, I'll post it. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 15:21, 20 February 2008 (CST)

**** Regarding the category list, that was just using functionality that came with MediaWiki. There's an extension that will allow a more normal list view, complete with limits and stuff. I know I look like a complete asshole for the reversions I just did, but please, I must ask that you discuss changes like this before implementing them. I understand this is a wiki and it's subject to edits and submissions by anyone, but generally we like to discuss these kinds of changes before going through with them. (Yes, it can take a lot more time, but the time spent on coming to an agreement is better than the time spent going back and forth over things that cannot be agreed on. For example, when we were going around and around with how to include extra requirements to the story missions articles, we only altered one or two articles with changes until we came to an agreement. That was perfect. We discussed, we brainstormed and ultimately came to the design we have now. It took some time, but in the end the time we spent with that was well worth it.) Overall, this template is a nice idea for categorization purposes, but in the process, you did away with the necessary co-op missions category. Though they are more or less the same as free missions, they cannot be lumped together with them because they are not the same. Also, does it really matter that we have separate templates for each planet? I understand that it would save three extra edits if we were to ever alter the infobox style, but it's never been a problem before, especially since the design of the mission infobox was voted on and established as a site standard last summer. One other thing, we should avoid redirecting categories to articles. Categories are supposed to stand on their own, acting as an index for a particular subject, not link back to something which may or may not serve the same purpose. Anyway, I do apologize. I hate resorting to what I did, but I want to emphasize communication.
