Silver Badge Acquisition?

The thought just hit me when reading part of The Messenger's conversion details:

Throughout (Maximum Attack G), three types of badges can be found: (Copper Badges), (Silver Badges) and (Gold Badges).

Yet Silver Badge is not listed as an S rank reward for either Maximum Attack G or Program DF. Do lower ranks also give out badges or am I missing something here? - Miraglyth 06:56, 7 March 2008 (CST)

  • The badges drop throughout the mission from normal and boss boxes, so while collecting them as end mission rewards, you'll also be picking up quite a few during the mission. As for the duration, the Japanese version lasted for about a month, I believe. - EspioKaos 07:08, 7 March 2008 (CST)

      • Right. Really, I guess the entire event article needs a fair amount of fleshing out, but I've been a little hesitant with adding too much out of fear that there might be some big-ish changes between our version of the event and the Japanese version. (On that, I wonder if the 100,000,000 mark will be cut down to get Program DF or if they'll keep it the same?) Anyway, I've got to add the badges to the drop charts along with the special drops that are determined by what NPC you have with you. - EspioKaos 10:58, 7 March 2008 (CST)

S-rank requirements

Anyone know the exact kill count required for S-rank? Originally it was 256, but people are still S-ranking with as few as 243 kills. - Sekani 13:36, 26 April 2008 (CDT)

• Yes, 243 is correct for getting a S-rank. When soloing, this means getting the 3 Boomas nearby Ash and the secret room in forest. You don't need the part in caves at the two stepping buttons. You may end the mission at the switch in mines. You may also ignore the forest requirements and head to ruins, it will give more than enough kills. Sab 15:53, 3 May 2008 (CDT)

Photon flood/where are the materials?

Anyone else notice the excessive dropping of photons in MA:G? The droplist includes materials, and I was hoping to be able to get Catilium etc... At this rate very unlikely. Is this normal? Was it like this in Japans event? Sab 15:56, 3 May 2008 (CDT)
