Adahna Degahna

Description

Adahna Degahna (Japanese: アダーナ・デガーナ Adaana Degaana) is a massive piloted robot and one of the major bosses of PSU, created by the COG for unknown purposes. Despite this, it seems to be popular with rebel COG groups who have broken away from the main organization.

It is capable of temporarily surrounding itself with an impenetrable barrier around it. This suggests that Yohmei Corp build these machines, as they have links to the COG and also are known for their shielding technology.

In addition, it can fire a spray of bullets in front of itself, and can fire powerful missiles targeted at players (the missiles can be evaded, however, by running away from the targeted areas, which are shown with white rings). It also has a powerful photon whip, and is capable of teleporting all over the arena. While teleporting and rematerializing, the Adahna Degahna cannot be targeted.

In Story Mode, this boss is piloted by one of the main story NPCs. However, in Network Mode there appears to be no-one in the cockpit, but it can be assumed somebody is piloting it - a scream can be heard when the Degahna explodes after being defeated.

  • Good Damage: Body

Adahna Degahna has a massive weak point that can make defeating him easy. The backside of the Adahna Degahna is shaped like an upside down U (or a capital H, or a lowercase n). If a character wedges in between the robot's jutting shoulder plates and the Degahna targets him, it'll spin around to acquire it's target - but the shoulder plates will continue to push the character around in circles, and it'll just keep spinning around while characters with ranged weapons can plink away.
