Manual of style

Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our manual of style. We spent quite a lot of time setting it up to help keep a uniform appearance to the articles created on the site, and would appreciate it if all contributors followed the guidelines set forth by it. You may have noticed me rolling back articles you've recently edited. The reason for this is because your edits (in particular, capitalization of words that don't require it) go against the style established for the site. Thanks! - EspioKaos 21:30, 2 January 2008 (CST)

  • Ok. Got it! But shouldn't the races be capitalized? Because it's the name of something. Amaury 21:31, 2 January 2008 (CST)
    • Just as human isn't a proper noun in English, newman and beast follow the same rule. CAST is the only exception, and that's merely because SonicTeam decided that it should be in all caps like TECHNICs and a few other names. - EspioKaos 21:34, 2 January 2008 (CST)
  • Same with the names of weapons. Amaury 21:32, 2 January 2008 (CST)
    • Individual weapon names are capitialized (Card Fante, Falgohoh, Raygun, etc.) but not generic weapon category names (saber, whip, slicer, etc.). - EspioKaos 21:35, 2 January 2008 (CST)
  • Then shouldn't the Daggers page be like the Sabers page? Also, some of the other weapons catergories have "Knows Weapon Name (Network Mode) Amaury 21:36, 2 January 2008 (CST)
    • Ultimately, the phrase network mode will be removed from articles like that as it is simply assumed since most everyone who visits the site comes here for information on items in network mode. Articles that deal with things from offline mode will have offline included in them somewhere. There still are a number of small things that need cleaning all around the site, such as those sections. The hard part is getting to them all. - EspioKaos 21:45, 2 January 2008 (CST)

User Reviews

Thanks for contributing your knowledge to PSUpedia. One small thing though, please use the Preview button when you can, to cut down on the number of edits total. Thanks! --Beatrixkiddo 17:18, 21 December 2007 (CST)

  • Seconding this. Octuple updating really isn't necessary. - Miraglyth 21:04, 21 December 2007 (CST)
  • Fourthing. I'm sorry, but if you continue to make repetitive edits (tonight, you edited your user page 11 times in 50 minutes), I'll have no other option but to block you for a short period. Please, use the preview button, and make all of your edits at once, so I won't have to do that. --Qwerty 17:38, 23 December 2007 (CST)
    • Ok, this is really getting annoying. This isn't a forum, so quit making largely pointless edits on people's talk pages. Don't tell us what you edited; we already know. Don't post stuff like "Oh, sorry." That's just spam. Don't make so many repeated edits, I've already warned you about that. Don't do stupid things like changing the date in the luck box. I think we all damn well know what year it is. I'm trying to be as fair and lenient with you as I can, but if you're going to contribute, please do it in a more non-spam fashion. --Qwerty 20:48, 29 December 2007 (CST)
  • Reverted back to old user talk, let them serve as a warning. You do some decent edits, you just need to not edit based on assumptions and use the preview function. Also, quit filling my user talk up with pointless updates on what you changed. --JubeiSaotome 21:38, 29 December 2007 (CST)
  • There's no reason for you to remove this, so I have to ask: why you are doing it? If you can give me a satisfactory answer I will allow you to remove these comments. If you remove this again without explaining why you will be given a final warning, something I'd rather not do as it's hardly in our interests to get caught up in this. These comments are merely here to guide you and tell you what we don't need doing around here. Please don't brush them aside - especially not the comments from Miraglyth and Qwerty, who, like me, are staffers. - Mewn 06:39, 31 December 2007 (CST)

Re: Character articles

  • I'd prefer the Story articles not start with "Back to Story Portal page". The pages already end with the Menu Template: "General Info". --Zoamel Gustav 06:46, 22 December 2007 (CST)
  • I'd also prefer "?" rather then "Unconfirmed PA" to avoid stretching tables. --Zoamel Gustav 06:46, 22 December 2007 (CST)
