More new types? Maybe?

  • Just found some new stuff from this site. I have no idea if it's true or not, however. This guy's either done some data mining or is talking out his ass. Either way...
Fighmaster - A superior type that has mastered the necessities of close-quarters combat. An expert devoted to all types of striking combat.
Gunmaster - A superior type that has mastered the necessities of long-distance combat. An expert devoted to all types of ranged combat.
Masterforce - A superior type that has mastered the necessities of TECHNIC-based combat. An expert devoted to all types of TECHNICs.
Acromaster - An experimental battle type that is completely wrapped in mystery.

So, uh... D: - EspioKaos 20:22, 9 October 2007 (BST)

    • Uh, wow. I browsed around a little bit, and the site even lists the variable ATP ranges for all the weapons, so either someone has gotten real good at cutting up the data, or it's just fabricated. I'd like to say the former, but I'm far from certain. Interesting, nonetheless. --Qwerty 22:04, 9 October 2007 (BST)
      • Huh. Well, I looked around some more, and it looks like it is only offline data anyway, for what that's worth. --Qwerty 23:01, 9 October 2007 (BST)

Madoogs

  • Shato and Sonichi were removed. Just wanna make sure that's right since they were apparently in magazine scans long before the beta was out. - Miraglyth 07:17, 16 April 2007 (BST)
    • Sato is out in the beta. On a side note I seriously hope they don't translate Sato as Shato, with Shat being the past participle of, er, shit, an' all. Mewn 09:05, 16 April 2007 (BST)
    • They're still in the table; I just moved them further down the list after finding out the S(h)ato is a 9-star Kubara madoog. I'm trying to keep the weapons in increasing star order. And that is a good point, Mewn. Maybe I should change the English name to Sato for the time being. Considering all that, I'm sure that's how it will be translated. Besides, with this being a throwback to PSO, I'm sure they'll want to stick with the English name it was given. Same for Sonichi, which became Soniti, I think. EspioKaos 13:45, 16 April 2007 (BST)
    • Yeah, it's called Soniti in English. I expect the translations to be consistent with their PSO versions, but it wouldn't surprise me if they weren't, we've already seen an slight inconsistency between the Yasminkov weapons of PSO and the 8* Machinegun Yasminakov 0002. Still, Sato, Durandal (Repca), Varista, Ruby Bullet et al are far more direct throwbacks to PSO and should retain their proper names. Mewn 16:58, 16 April 2007 (BST)
    • Slight update. According to this screen, Soniti is actually an A-rank Kubara shadoog. I've updated the article accordingly. EspioKaos 20:59, 16 April 2007 (BST)

Slicers

NNOOOO Keep them away!! Not slicers!! I HATED hose things on Pso... And I got stuck with Whitill, which found almost nonstoped Slicers >.< Rydia 19:58, 28 March 2007 (BST)

Pso -> Psu?

That would be quite fun really. I really hope they bring back alotta the fun weapons like my fav weapon, the Chain Sawd. Rydia 19:58, 28 March 2007 (BST)

Paradis Cataracte?

Was Paradis Cataracte confirmed as the official English localization? Just wondering since no S sound appears in the Japanese name. EspioKaos 13:46, 13 April 2007 (BST)

  • No, this is my own translation. After some research I believe the name to be French, Paradis being the French word for Paradise/Heaven (which makes sense, since it's the Heaven Punisher SUV). Because it's French, the S is silent, so 'paradi' is the correct pronounciation. Cataracte is French as well, although I have no idea if it will be translated as such (sounds practically the same as Cataract anyway). I consider this to be closer to the true meaning of the Japanese name than either Parody Cataract or Paladin Cataract, both of which I've heard. Mewn 14:12, 13 April 2007 (BST)
    • Ah, OK. Makes good sense.  :) EspioKaos 05:28, 16 April 2007 (BST)

XBOX 360 gets some love too, right?

Has there been any rumors of an XBOX 360 trial? And, when they create the sequel, just what will happen of the characters we've made in the first game for those with a 360?Ragnarok Knight 00:15, 24 April 2007 (BST)

  • There have been rumors, but nothing solid on an Xbox360 trial, so don't get your hopes up yet. As for what will happen to original characters, you will almost certainly be able to use original characters in AoI. Mewn 13:06, 24 April 2007 (BST)

wat

Did I miss something and slicers are really considered ranged weapons and whips held in the left hand, or was that some sort of typo thing? I thought whips were right handed and slicers were considered melee weapons, since they are synthed with an element and have melee-style PAs. Probably just me either having missed something or remembering incorrectly --Qwerty 22:21, 13 September 2007 (BST)

  • Slicers are melee weapons as far as I know. Dunno about whips, though. - Mewn 22:31, 13 September 2007 (BST)
  • You're right. I noticed that earlier when I was updating the table with the new weapon proficiencies. I plan on redoing this table to address the discrepancies. EspioKaos 23:17, 13 September 2007 (BST)
