Stages strategies
- Vivienne recovers full health in between stages.
Stage 1 "VR: Grasslands"
- All trees here can be destroyed to get items. Very handy on A, because they will drop Par Walnas most of the time.
- The door in the western part of the map will unlock after Vivienne has been upgraded once. Inside are three special boxes and two trees. No enemies.
Stage 2 "VR: Metro Linear"
- Turrets do 50% of your hit points worth of damage, so avoid them at all cost.
- The door to the north of the second room will unock after Vivienne has been upgraded twice. Inside are three special boxes.
- In the fourth room there is a pink key card. Don't pick it up, it will explode! When you destroy it, three enemies (Rogue Mazz) will appear.
- In the room with lock for key 1, there are two switches on the far side of the wall. Hit them with a weapon as soon as possible, they will deactivate the turrets. Destroying the box will spawn the enemies.
- The room to the north will spawn four turrets when you pick up the key card. Immediately run to the left or right side of the back wall and activate the switch. Then activate the other. When you try to leave, the door will lock and enemies will spawn.
Stage 3 "VR: HIVE"
- After the first room, to the east, is a room with three switches in it. Delp Slamis will spawn here. If you activate the switches, after ten seconds, the whole area will explode, killing all enemies (and you if you stay). So run outside instead.
- If you kill all the enemies yourself, the switches disappear. You may activate them at any time when enemies are here. You will not get any experience (confirmed), even from tagged ones, nor any drops (needs confirmation).
- The door in the last room leading west will unlock after Vivienne reached stage four.
- There is a rumor that Megid in Story Missions is very unlikely to insta-kill you.
Stage 4 "VR: Plant"
- In this room, the turrets keep respawning in different patterns.
- First one Bafal Bragga spawns, then two.
- Run to the other side as soon as you have control, you are quite safe from the turrets in those corners.
- Before ending the GCS, make sure you have at least one inventory spot free, until you received both rewards.
Avoiding Vivienne's questions
You can avoid her questions indefinitely as soon as you trigger her memory event. When it happens, you will be forced to watch a cutscene at the beginning of the run and she won't talk at all during the mission. When the trial is completed, if you choose to abort instead of using the crystal you can repeat this event and will be able to run the mission without any of her questions indefinitely.
