Before you get too far
- Before you too far into converting TP to Tech. in those articles, I think with the individual stats boxes it's supposed to be TP (or the respective stat for the weapon). I think there was a reason back when we were piecing together the weapon templates, but I'll have to check. I thought you just meant with the main listing. XD - EspioKaos 13:59, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
- Wasn't it because it was TP written before you made the templates? Oh well anyway I'm done with these there weren't much of them so reverting if needed won't be hard either. Tho since the style choice is to write the in-game stuff it should be Tech. and not TP... Well don't worry I won't do more of them for now. Good thing either way is that I could change a wrong category on a few rods. Essen 14:08, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
- I've been going back over old archived discussions trying to find something about this, but I haven't had much luck yet. I'll have to look more later. I'm somewhat certain there was a reason for differentiation, but yeah, like you said, since in-game menus all use stuff like Tech. and Att. instead of TP and ATP, we should probably go with that. Anyway, changing that in the weapon templates won't be difficult, plus it'll give us a chance to create new necessary templates as well as clean up existing ones that might need it. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only time stuff like TP and ATA is used is in the character stats menu.) Anyway, thanks for fixing the categories on those rods, by the way. I can't believe I didn't even notice they'd been thrown in with the wands. XD - EspioKaos 14:18, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
- Okay. And yes, you're right about the stats. ATP in character stats, Att. in equipment stats. Same sort of things with other stats. Essen 14:24, 28 March 2008 (CDT)

- We decided to use TP/ATP/ATP instead of Tech./Att./Acc. because NO ONE ever uses the latter to refer to anything, and the difference is the epitome of triviality. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to have to ask you to leave them as TP and friends. I'm fairly certain we voted on this, but it may have just been a general consensus that went along with the weapon template proposal vote. Regardless, I think Tech./Att./Acc. are unnecessarily confusing, and also look stupid compared to TP/ATP/ATA, so yeah, don't change any more of them please. --Qwerty 15:57, 28 March 2008 (CDT)
- Okay, not a big deal I'll revert stuff if it wasn't done already. Then I guess I can do the reverse, set TP instead of Tech. and ATP instead of Att. etc? I won't mass edit them tho, it's more a question for episode 1 pages and future edits. Essen 01:25, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
- I actually don't believe there was a vote on it, though Qwerty does have a point in that most people would cling onto ATP/TP/etc. despite that only really covering character stats. - Miraglyth 05:06, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
- Yes, but then what about the weapons tables? In the manual of style the example is written with Att. and Acc. (and is like this for most pages if not all). Putting Att. in weapons tables and not in individual weapons pages is a bit misleading. I think there should be either only ATP, or both, everywhere, but not a bit of both depending on the page. Also would be a good thing if this was added to the manual of style ^^; Essen 13:35, 29 March 2008 (CDT)
- So really a vote would be in order to sort out the matter. As you say, weapons tables (and line shield tables) already use the stats as shown for them in the game, so it'd be a case of voting for accuracy with the game itself or recognition with "the community". - Miraglyth 16:06, 29 March 2008 (CDT)

Your uber stat calculator
Just curious real quick, your listings for 130/15, are those before or after all the changes that the JP version got? I ask because I'm hoping to update our type pages with the US-version 130/15 stats, those being the current maximum level. I'll probably add in another section with the JP-version 140/20 stats as well. - Sekani 10:57, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
