Gaozoran also known as "The Hive mage" is a monster that appears on the Colony Missions [[Dark Satellite]] and [[SEED Awakened]]. They usually appear as a group of 3 and [[SEED Awakened]] you will usually find most Gaozoran with enhancements. Gaozoran have and use 3 known spells: [[Foie]], [[Gibarta]] and [[Ramegid]]. Gaozoran can also charge hitting a player with its staff and warp around the battlefield making it difficult to hit. Because of the warping, spellcasting and the fact that they travel in packs, Gaozoran are one of the most hated monsters to fight.

Gaozoran will only cast Foie on targets far away from it likewise only using Gibarta when melee attackers are damaging it at close range. Gaozorans are powerful SEED-Forms known for their powerful TECHNICs. They are floating enemies somewhat reminiscent of Chaos Sorcerers from PSO. They carry a unique rod which can be obtained by players as a weapon - the Gaozoran Rod.
