Leo is the first character you actually talk to, and guides you through the first chapter of the game.

Leo is first seen in chapter 1, herding everyone out of the damaged parts of the colony. He meets Ethan, and then gets struck by a falling piece of rubble and rendered unable to move. He guides Ethan through Linear Line and tells him what to do; When ethan kills the Massive SEED Vance, He appears with a pair of Guardians Equipped with Photon Erasers, and gives Ethan quite a Deserving Pat on the back. They meet again in episode 6, and Set off to Moatoob
