As a designer, I was taught never to put a box inside a box. Is there a way to make the text less cluttered with a decent amount of visual rest (White space beside the text)? I know this was designed before the recent idea of the sidebar navigation, so maybe some flow can be found with the redundant bits removed with new nav in place.
