I spent some time toying around with burn traps today and a level 9 burning shot bullet which inflicts a level 2 burn effect.  I also gave poison and virus a similar treatment.  I targeted Vanda and Jishagara level 15 in valley of carnage C.  They both suffer the same damage per tick on status effects which indicates that they have roughly the same hp.  My rough estimates from how many shots it took to kill them placed their hp in the neighborhood of 600. Level 1 burn dealt 14 damage every 2 seconds 5 times, total duration 10 seconds. Level 2 burn dealt 22 damage every 2 seconds 5 times, total duration 10 seconds. Level 3 burn dealt 29 damage every 2 seconds 5 times, total duration 10 seconds.  If that is 25% of the monster's health that'd put it at 580 hp, which is very close to my estimate.  So 5% health damage per tick is a sound estimate for level 3 burn.  Which places level 1 burn at 2.5% damage per tick and level 2 burn at roughly 3.75% damage per tick.  Level 1 poison dealt 14 damage every 3 seconds for 4 times.  Level 3 poison dealt 14 damage every 3 seconds for 8 times.  This makes poison a constant 2.5% health damage every tick.  Level 1 infection dealt 37 damage every 4 seconds 5 times.  Level 2 infection dealt 37 damage every 4 seconds 6 times.  Level 3 infection was 37 damage every 4 seconds 7 times.  My guess at infection damage is is 6.25%.  Decimal values on damage is rounded up using these figures. All these figures are gained by recording my tests via Fraps and watching and rewatching and retiming everything.  So, I'm pretty sure about my times.  I have deduced the following rules:&lt;br /&gt;
*Burn always lasts 10 seconds dealing damage every 2 seconds.  Damage per tick is equal to 2.5% + 1.25% for every level over 1.&lt;br /&gt;
*Poison always deals 2.5% of maximum health damage every 2 seconds.  Duration is 12 seconds + 6 seconds for every level over 1.&lt;br /&gt;
*Infection always deals 6.75% damage every 4 seconds.  Duration initially 20 seconds + 4 seconds for every level over 1.&lt;br /&gt;
*The game rounds up on each interval so you're always going to get slightly more damage.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 1 burn is roughly 12.5% damage over 10 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 2 burn is roughly 18.75% damage over 10 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 3 burn is roughly 25% damage over 10 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 1 poison is roughly 10% damage over 12 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 2 poison is roughly 15% damage over 18 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;

*Level 2 infection is roughly 37.5% damage over 24 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*Level 3 infection is roughly 43.75% damage over 28 seconds.&lt;br /&gt;
*A level 4 infection should deal 50% of max health damage over 32 seconds.  It should be easy to test if infection is lethal by whittling off half the life of an infected monster and seeing if it'll die using a level 21+ dark shot on a rifle.
