Players who are familiar with Phantasy Star Online will often use a shorthand from that game for referring to class/race combinations. The first two letters refer to the class, with HU for hunter, RA for ranger, and FO for force; it should be noted that PSO has only three basic classes from PSU. The remainder is the race and gender, where the ladies have class names ending in "l": "mar"/"marl" for human, "newm"/"newearl" for Newman, and "cast"/"caseal" for CAST. It has been proposed that for Beasts, the abbreviation is "fur"/"furl".<br />
