The chapter starts out with you getting a mission to go to Neudaiz and investigate the Mizuraki C.D. area for infection. You meet your new instructor Laia Martinez. You land on Neudaiz and meet Tonnio Rhima(some old time players might remember him from the prequel). Tonnio and Laia make fun of each other playfully and is revealed that Tonnio is much older than Laia and older than he looks. Laia mentions Ethan Waber(main character from prequel) being a traitor and Tonnio gets offended and stands up for Ethan. You part ways and head to the Mizuraki C.D.

When you arrive you are told how to use the goggles (very important equip). First way is to have it on the palette and press O then go to goggles then press [] and look around. I find the second option better. You don’t have to have the goggles on the palette freeing up a space for anything that may come in handy. Press R3 and hit L1 or R1 and look around. Whichever you choose is up to you. The point of this mission is to find five samples of infected plant-life. The easiest way is to look for white plants hard to miss. Ok so start off by heading forward you fight some enemies then head left after and fight some more until you reach the first white plant scan it and move on. Head right and fight the enemies to unlock the door and grab your second white plant before heading through, it is located straight across from the door grab it and head through head down the way until you fight the enemies after disposing of them grab the third white plant on the left and move on fight the enemies and at the upper right there’s another plant grab it and right in front of the key is another white plant '''DO NOT GRAB IT''' if you want a Rank S. Grab the key and continue on. Kill the three enemies that pop up then run back and grab the last white plant and trial cleared. If you didn’t receive Rank S make sure you did it faster than... and killed 53 enemies. Upon Rank S you receive the Gigush(better sword) 300 Meseta And 33 mission points.

After that head onto the next area. In this scene you will find a girl in a mask. It turns out that she is of the Communion of Gurhal and it is blasphemy to the holy light for removing there masks. She is alive but cannot remember anything. You run into the Vol Brothers(very weak and annoying characters that pop up a lot) who are part of Tyler’s(A rogue who spared Ethan’s life on a train during a mission and in the end helped them with their plan to save Hyuga, Maya and blow up the Hive) Gang. You have to fight them but its not a trial. I find it easiest to focus on the leader (the puffy haired one) as he has an annoying fire technic that can cause some serious damage. Laia will do her own thing most likely taking out the chubby one leaving an easy fight left when its jus the tall skinny one left. If they transport to the center at any time run to the outer edges as they are going to release an annoying explosive skill.

After doing away with them you continue on where you find a rogue ship that leads Laia to think that there might be another one around due to the lack of space in this one. They search and find another one that looks as if it had crashed there. The girl remembers flying and then seeing a shadow appear and then the ship crashed. Laia realizes that it must have been a Zoalgoug(very big dragon) and that they should hurry. But it drops down on them and you must fight it. Again this one is not a trial. I find the easiest way is to spin break skill with the sword to its head usually hitting at least three spots. If it takes flight just aim a ranged attacks to its wings untill it falls. After you’re done you notice the girl is missing and find out she has a search going out for her. You arrive at the base where you should stock up on healing items and restore pp to your weapons. Go straight and when you hit a fork in the path take the path on right to avoid invisible mines or just destroy them with goggles and ranged weapons, go straight and the head through the farthest path to again avoid mines, scan the tree and destroy it to safely move forward again, follow the big guy to a door but watch out on other side are fireballs that hurt a lot, after that there will be barrels, scan them with goggles and only destroy the none red orb ones till you find both keys navigate thru the fireball maze and access the white rectangle at end work your way back through and head through the before closed area were you come to a lot of destroyable rocks. '''DO NOT GO SMASHING THREW THEM'''. That will likely kill you. Use your goggles to destroy the non-trap ones and continue through the rest for a trial complete. Clear faster than 3:30 for S Rank. For completing on S you get frozen hit(ice bullets for single guns), 150 meseta, 17 mission.

Next scene opens with Vol Brothers over the girl. They summon robots which aren’t to hard to kill. When you deal the killing blow back away from them because they explode. Work your way through to next area. In next scene you corner the rouges and recover the girl. But when laia and you get her back to the communion. There you meet Izuma Rutsu chief proton master of the communion of gurhal. It turns out the girl was the maiden the whole time. Ethan conspired to kidnap her. After completing this chapter you get Laias player card, unlock travel to Neudaiz and unlock 3 free missions on Neudaiz.
