MechaCrash: /* SUV Weapons */ Closing parentheses.

SUV Weapons are weapons exclusive to CAST use. During battle, a CAST can use satellites to summon large, powerful weapons that they cannot otherwise store on their person. These weapons can deal a significant amount of damage and have the ability of inflicting status effects.

Obtaining SUV Weapons
SUV Weapons are only available to CASTs of level 20 or higher.

In Network mode, players can obtain SUV Weapons from the GRM Unit Shop on Parum, costing between 2500-18000 meseta. In Extra mode, however, SUV Weapons cannot be bought from stores and can only be obtained through achieving an S-Rank on certain missions.

Players can only use SUV Weapons if they are equipped with an armor that has an Extra slot.

Using SUV Weapons
Once a SUV Weapon is equipped, a gauge at the bottom of your character's status bar will fill up as you take and deal damage, similar to the Photon Blast system in Phantasy Star Online. When full, the gauge will glow brightly. Once the character is standing still, a button combination (this varies between platforms) will appear next to the Weapon information bar. Pressing this combination will activate the SUV Weapon.

After a short summoning sequence, the SUV Weapon will appear and begin attacking. Once the attack has begun, the player cannot assume control over their character until the attack sequence is completed. There is only a small window of time during the summoning sequence that the player can fine-tune the direction that their character is facing. The final outcome of the attack depends wholly on the SUV Weapon used, so players must be careful when activating it.

During the summoning and attack sequences, the player is completely invincible to enemy attack (though the character may be pushed around a little). One must note that once a CAST activates the SUV Weapon, all status effects (both positive and negative) are removed.

<font color="red">Red: Online specific information.</font><br /><font color="blue">Blue: Offline specific information.</font>

Partner Machineries (パートナーマシナリー), or PMs (パシリ) for short, are floating pet robots, and can be found in the player's room. In Story Mode, Ethan's PM is called 'Pete', but in Extra Mode and Network Mode players are able to choose and change their PM's names. A PM's Luck is equal to that of Female Cast characters.

PMs have several functions, including:
* Item Storage (~300 items)
* Item Synthesis
* Engaging in combat as a sidekick (fourth-stage only)
* Providing plot information and hints (Story Mode)
* Shopkeeper (Online)

PMs have specific attributes, as well:
* Striking - indicates the profiency in synthesizing Melee Weapons
* Ranged - indicates the profiency in synthesizing Ranged Weapons
* Technic - indicates the profiency in synthesizing Casting Weapons
* Armor - indicates the profiency in synthesizing Armors
* Production Level (max. 100) - the sum of the four attributes above; PM evolution occurs as the Production Level rises
* Battle Stat (B St.) or Combat Level (max. 100) - dictates a PM's efficiency in combat (presumably only AI and chat lines?) and is rumored to increase overall synthesis proficiency; the increments for its EXP bar increase upon Mission completion, depending only on the overall resultant rank.

* S rank: about 25% (from 0% into a level, four S Ranks are not enough for one level. It's probably 24%.)
* A rank: about 15%
* B rank: about 10%
* C rank: about 5%

To increase those first four attributes, PMs can be fed items, via the "Give item" submenu of Partner Machinery Functions. PM Feeding (called that due to the PM commenting how the item tasted) is subject to some simple constraints:

* If you feed a PM one item, its "fed" count raises by 1.
* Once a PM's "fed" count reaches 100 it becomes "full" and you cannot feed it any more.
* If a PM has not been fed for 12 hours ("full" or not), its "fed" count gets reset to 0.

Partner Machinery will refuse to eat Synthesis Boards, Grinders and Presents. When the Production Level reaches a designated point, the PM will "evolve" into a new form that varies according to the individual attributes that contribute to the Production Level. These distinct PM evolutions each specialize either in Striking, Range or Technic; there are none that specialize in Armor. Battle-usable evolutions have associated combat behaviour and equipment. Not much is known about their combat stats, other than that they are dependent on the PM's form and Combat Level.

Only the leader of a party may summon his or her battle-usable PM to combat. The PM is capable of taking damage and dying like any ordinary player as well as reducing final trial rewards through death. PMs affect experience gain in combat in the same way ordinary players do. The PM has no means of healing itself outside of Force spells, area affect items and returning to town. Battle-usable PM's have the luck score of a female cast.

The item PM Device ZERO is used to reset each of the PM's stats to zero. Although the PM will reset its level and any advanced form will be lost, the storage remains unaffected.

Fourth-Stage PMs
When PMs evolve to their fourth stage, they will become usable in battle and will grant their owner their own Partner Card to call upon them at anytime. In any party only the PM of the leader may participate. Like NPCs, PMs will automatically revive in a minute, but unfortunately their deaths affects Mission results nonetheless. In battle, a PM is always ten levels higher than their owner's this increases, they will become more powerful like regular characters would. A PM's Production Level and Striking, Ranged, Armor and Technic stats do not have any influence on this.
Newly Available PMs
There are currently 18 PM evolutions, linked to 'PM Evolution Devices'. For example, using a 'PM 411 Device' on a GH410 will evolve the PM into the corresponding evolution. Details about GH305~7 and GH461~5 are still unclear.

Both the JP and US/EU versions of the game has the Partner Machine Evolution Kits available. But only for the 4x1(411,421,431,441,451) and 4x2(412,422,432,442,452) types,unfortunately. No information on the 46x types, yet.

The New PMs change in appearance and weapon, some featuring S rank weapons as well! Great for those with an acquired taste for expensive items,others will just get plain jealous.

Some of the alternate PM actually carry SUV weapons!! Each one features an extra slot but only certain few will get the SUV while some for example, will get HP regeneration(Me/Hp Restore).We have yet to cover on this so come back often for more details.
* Well, it did need something like this. I should still check up on the Japanese description of 450 though; forgot if it mentioned her fire specialism, and thought it might be useful to include element info. I like how you made the behaviour patterns more apparent using the colouring schedule. I'm still wondering about what's with 440 though. Anyway, for now the primary concern regarding PMs is probably rather the Battle Stat stuff, and synthesis influences.

Battle stat (B St)
In the battle stat section, we read "Battle Stat (B St.) or Combat Level (max. 100) - dictates a PM's stats in combat and increases overall synthesis proficiency;".

I'm pretty sure the first part, about combat stats is a given, but then the second fact, about B St affecting overall synthesis proficiency, is this really proven? Almost seems like its a recent addition, especially how its inserted into the existing context about your PM fighting with you

* Not proven; I'll add a question mark or something. - Tycho 15:46, 1 December 2006 (PST)

Recent edit
* Leveling PMs by letting them synth stuff? This doesn't make sense. I'll use a rollback. o_O - Tycho 08:31, 11 December 2006 (PST)
* I think what was meant by this is to synth items used for feeding, like say a 2★ saber to increase Strike, or guns, wands, or trimates, etc, while collecting more items during missions to synth even more feedables. --Mega 09:24, 11 December 2006 (PST)

How Feeding Works
I believe the feeding details could use elaboration. From my experience and from what just about everyone I'm asking is saying, feeding works thus:

* Feed a PM one item, it's "Fed" count raises by 1.
* If "Fed" count is 100, disable feeding.
* If not fed for 12 hours, set "Fed" count to 0.

This differs from the details currently on the page as they suggest the 12-hour reset only happens if and when the PM becomes full (suggesting that if fed one item every 24 hours, it would be "full" for 12 hours on the 100th day).

Mentioning it here first to get some feedback on clarifying the article before I go ahead and do it. - Miraglyth 03:32, 3 January 2007 (CST)

Dimates are no good for tech raising
* Dimates give two tech, but six strike. Why bother with them when you can just stick to tech disks and starting weapons? Those give a better return for your money and you don't have to worry about undoing stat gain in something you don't want. - The preceding unsigned comment was added by MechaCrash, 23:11, 30 January 2007 (CST)
** Get the heck out. 1* Tech disks are 500 meseta for 6% TECH. Dimates are practically free for 2% TECH. It is *not* hard to alternate Dimates and Tech disks to save money. - Miraglyth 20:07, 30 January 2007 (CST)
*** The problem here is that while you can spend 450 for a +6 tech using Dimates, you use an extra two feedings to do it, and money's not really an object for "fast" feeding. For the cheap feeding, then the dimates are worth using if you have a bunch of them sitting around (and unless you solo constantly as a non-tech user it's hard <i>not</i> to have buckets of them), but the "cheap" feed doesn't really take time into account -- so why not make a few extra newmen for their starting wands? Also, I apologize for the unsigned comment, I'm still figuring this stuff out... MechaCrash 21:50, 30 January 2007 (CST)

* Not proven; I'll add a question mark or something. - Tycho 15:46, 1 December 2006 (PST)

Dimates give two tech, but six strike. Why bother with them when you can just stick to tech disks and starting weapons? Those give a better return for your money and you don't have to worry about undoing stat gain in something you don't want.

* Item Storage (~300 items)
* Item Synthesis
* Engaging in combat as a sidekick (fourth-stage only)
* Providing plot information and hints (Story Mode)
* Shopkeeper (Online)

* A rank: about 15%
* B rank: about 10%
* C rank: about 5%

To increase those first four attributes, PMs can be fed items, via the "Give item" submenu of Partner Machinery Functions. PM Feeding (called that due to the PM commenting how the item tasted) is subject to some simple constraints:

* If you feed a PM one item, it's "fed" count raises by 1.
* Once a PM's "fed" count reaches 100 it becomes "full" and you cannot feed it any more.
* If a PM has not been fed for 12 hours ("full" or not), it's "fed" count gets reset to 0.

Although the PM will reset it's level and any advanced form will be lost, the storage remains unaffected.

Currently Unobtainable PMs
There are currently 28 unattainable PM evolutions, linked to 'PM Evolution Devices'. For example, using a 'PM 411 Device' on a GH410 will evolve the PM into the corresponding evolution. It is unclear whether one would need multiple devices to obtain, say, a GH412. Details about GH305~7 and GH461~5 are still unclear.

The Japan Version of the game finally got the Partner Machine Evolution Kits! But only for the 4x1(411,421,431,441,451) and 4x2(412,422,432,442,452) types,unfortuantely. No information on the 46x types,yet.

The New PM change in appearance and weapon, some featuring S rank weapons as well!Great for those with an acquired taste for expensive items,others will just get plain jealous.

Some of the alternate PM actually carry SUV weapons!! Each one features an extra slot but only certain few will get the SUV while some for example, will get HP regeneration(Me/Hp Restore).We have yet to cover on this so come back often for more details.

* Item Storage (~300 items)
* Item Synthesis
* Engaging in combat as a sidekick (fourth-stage only)
* Providing plot information and hints (Story Mode)
* Shopkeeper (Online)

* A rank: about 15%
* B rank: about 10%
* C rank: about 5%

Although the PM will reset it's level and any advanced form will be lost, the storage remains unaffected.
It will also attack enemies if the enemy attacks her..
; With owner
*According to my experiences with a GH-410, the PM will stay by your side until a enemy is within its striking distance.
Great for shielding because if the enemy approaches you,your PM will fight it..
