==== Profile ====
Hi friends! You're at my Character profile page thing! ^ ^ Here you can see my characters. As you'll be able to tell, they aren't very good :L But hey, you're curious to see them, or you wouldn't be here!

I'm just a below-average player on the EU/US Xbox360 servers, so if you see me running around, say hi! >^.^<

Aside from gaming I like to watch anime and read manga. I also know a bit about Wiki formatting and things.

[[File:MAX_logo_large.jpg|thumb|right|Maximum Attack X]]
'''Maximum Attack X''' (also known as '''Maximum Attack Cross''') is an event for the Japanese PC/PS2 servers which began April 22, 2010, and ran through May 20, 2010. The Xbox 360 version of this event is scheduled to begin September 9, 2011, and run through October 20, 2011.

An unusual device left behind by the ancient civilization was discovered during a cooperative RELICS investigation by Inhelt Corp. and the GUARDIANS. Known as "Arc," this device is a self-evolving program which adapts based on data input. Following additional research, it has been discovered that Arc was used by the ancients to simulate the grim scenario of Gurhal being overrun by the SEED. Having witnessed firsthand the suffering of Gurhal caused by the SEED, the GUARDIANS have launched an operation to collect data for Arc, hoping to lead Gurhal to a brighter future!

Awaiting details...

=== Japanese PC/PS2 version ===
The Japanese version of Maximum Attack X was the first event of its kind to feature a multi-game crossover. Running alongside the PC/PS2 ''Ambition of the Illuminus'' version of the event was a version made specifically for ''Phantasy Star Portable 2'' on the PSP. In the PC/PS2 event, players collected data chips, special information packets used by Arc to simulate potential scenarios of Gurhal's future. The total number of chips collected was recorded on the official event site and used to unlock panels which featured rewards for both during and after the event.

In the PSP version of Maximum Attack X, overall enemy kills were recorded on the official event site. These kills were totaled with the PC/PS2 version's data chip collection to go toward earning increased attribute rates for four weapons which were awarded to event participants. The PC/PS2 weapons had a maximum potential attribute rate of 50% while the PSP versions were able to earn an additional 30% (for a total attribute rate of 80%) by reaching separate monster kill milestones.

ues== Naming schemes ==
As you noticed, I was going through several of the weapons pages and noting any multilingual references I could find. I wanted to talk to you about the naming scheme for common weapons, though:

Most of the 1 to 5 star common weapons take their names after similar common weapons in PSO. There's places where this convention breaks (like "Durandal" instead of "Gladius," or "Shooter" and "Bullseye" instead of "Beam" and "Laser"), but it seems to be more of an exception rather than a rule.

I noticed that the names for common shotguns follows the same pattern; PSO's common shotguns (in order of rarity) are ''Shot, Spread, Cannon, Launcher,'' and ''Arms''. In PSU, the order is similar: ''Shigga Damud, Shigga Spud, Shigga Wadda, Shigga Bigul, Shigga Amza.''

Some of the names for PSU shotguns sound somewhat similar to the PSO ones if spoken aloud; compare Wadda and Cannon. Shigga Spud and Shigga Amza popped out as being especially similar to Spread and Arms as far as names go. Looking at weapon types where all three companies make a weapon of the same rarity, you can see how a word changes from plain English (GRM) to pseudo-Japanese (Yohmei) to ... well, whatever inspired how Beasts talk (Tenora). For example: ''[[Breaker]]'', ''[[Brekaud]]'', and ''[[Soda Brekka]].''

That's why I figured that at least some of the common shotguns were named after PSO shots. - [[User:F Gattaca|F Gattaca]] 03:42, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
* I can see a few of them maybe possibly being references (Spud and Amza), but the others are just a bit too far of a stretch to me, so they seem a bit more like grasping at straws, trying to force a ''PSO'' reference out of the name. (I keep saying "Wadda" and "Cannon" aloud, but all I'm hearing is something like "water cannon." lol) - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 23:37, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
** Yeah, I do admit it's a stretch on a number of those, but having looked at other names with Beast-y words, well ... the Beasts ''really'' mangle words, so I figured that if two fit the pattern in terms of rank and name similarity, the others might also. Gur Neda sounds like "grenade" when pronounced out loud, for instance, and given it ''is'' a grenade launcher, it seems to be intentional, as was some of the others you noted (Gur Hanab, Gur Missal, Gur Napam, etc.) ... Though I guess those don't stretch plausibility as much as Wadda/Cannon. (And yeah, saying both one after another ''does'' sound like "water cannon," haha!) - [[User:F Gattaca|F Gattaca]] 05:31, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

== PSP2 templates ==
* Few points and questions:
** Grinding is random like in PSP1, so a grind template might not really be worth it.
** Special effects on weapons are displayed in the weapon's stats now, are we still keeping them in the Item Details section?
** How are we going to handle final-grinded weapons? Two articles - e.g. Saber and Saber (S grade) - is probably the easiest option, but I was wondering if you had any ideas. - [[User:Mewn|Mewn]] 18:38, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
* I'm not sure about grinds being random anymore. I just fully upgraded three Brands, and each one increased the same amount with each grind. I was pretty sure they were supposed to be random, too, but maybe it was changed. Could just be a demo thing, so we'll see when the full version comes out.
* On special effects, we could add something to the stats table. I'll go over some ideas to see what I can come up with. Ultimately, I'd like to keep the stats table matched in height with the shop table, so I might spread everything out over six columns, and add a full span row on the bottom for the stats effects.
* For the Extend Code-upgraded weapons, the first thing to come to mind was a separate article for the S-grade weapon, as you said. It's possible we could include something in the normal article, but no decent ideas for what have come to mind yet. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 22:52, 28 November 2009 (UTC)
* Ack, that's a first! I don't think I've ever seen that happen. If I had to guess, it seems like it's the div tags you're using. Maybe those coupled with certain wikicodes just kills the page. If you're just trying to get two columns with those tables in them, that can be done with a normal wikitable. I'll go ahead and fix it for you. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 22:22, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Now that rifles can get to SE 5, what is the damage potential of Burn and Infection and any other SE that has a change at 5? - [[User:Wolf of the Brigade|Wolf of the Brigade]]
* I'm not sure, to be completely honest. I believe the chances of infliction and the percent of damage inflicted go up at LV5, but I've got no clue about actual figures for it. Sorry! - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 21:41, 17 February 2009 (CST)
** Well, I can say for a certainty that it went up at SE 5. As to how much, I can only assume it follows the growth of the previous levels, so Burn will hit 30% total and Infection will hit 45%. It's an educated guess, but I've seen it doing more damage for me for sure. - [[User:Wolf of the Brigade|Wolf of the Brigade]]
== Some changes on the PSP pages ==
For some reason I decided to start adding info to the non-existent pages. I've done some touches here and there. I have the PSP game and figure it was time to do my share (I was taking a break with pedia and games in general).

I updated some of the descriptions, added a few subcategories like titles. My plan is to get all the PA pages done and work on items. I don't know a lick of japanese so it makes things hard. If you have the game I could use some help with what items are what so I don't have to change my class, buy all the skills, and try them (I plan on doing that sometime later.) For the time being, I would love if anyone who has the game to make revisions/additions to what I've started. I don't post on the forums so I figured I would let you know since you seem to be the one with the most contributions to the PSP section. If I ever get motivated, I just might post on the forums. Thanks for all the help and any questions you have feel free to ask me.

[[User:Tlbww|DawgPilez]] 23:46, 16 September 2008 (CDT)
* Excellent. We appreciate the help! Unfortunately, I don't own the game (I don't even have a PSP, actually), but I plan on getting both eventually. I'll still help out with what I can, of course. When I have more free time, I'll be adding new weapon articles using the screens that Mewn made of each weapon from the in-game weapon library. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 08:42, 17 September 2008 (CDT)

*Is there a need to have new pages for same weapon in the PSP section that the other games? http://psupedia.info/PSP:Title_system has items with the exact same effect as they do in the other games (not just the only page). I wanted to know if there was a need for this. While rarity is changed for most items,the item effects are the same. If there is a need for new pages....this will be a fun time =/ [[User:Tlbww|DawgPilez]] 13:06, 22 September 2008 (CDT)
** Yeah. Basically, ''PSP'' is considered a completely separate game from ''PSU'' and ''AOTI'', just like the offline modes of those two are separate from online (as far as articles here are concerned). Which reminds me. I think it was in a sandbox of yours that you have the version column of a photon arts section listing the ''PSU'' icon for what is meant to be part of the ''PSP'' section. That should be changed since anything in a ''PSP'' article will relate only to that version of the game. Otherwise, it sort of implies that the handheld game is connected to the console title as if it were an expansion. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 13:14, 22 September 2008 (CDT)
** 'Is there a need to have new pages for same weapon in the PSP section that the other games?' - the simple answer to this is yes, because items vary wildly between versions in many respects... stats, rarity, special effects, drops etc. and the simplest way of doing things on the wiki is simply to have seperate articles in the relevant namespace. It means more work, sure, but we just ask that people contribute as much as they can and put in as much effort as they are willing to. There's no pressure to get things done and this section will be largely ignored until US release, at least. - [[User:Mewn|Mewn]] 14:49, 22 September 2008 (CDT)
***And about the US release, suppose the isn't one (as I have long predicted basic on some research) will the PSP section remain? Also, aside from Mewn, espio, and Miraglyph, who else is working on it because I'm only sure that I have the game and don't have others here to reference with. If any of you know of some the people on the pso-world forums that have the game and could pitch in, it would be great. By what I've seen, many of them have progress much further than I have. Also, outside of some stats, rarity, and few minor effects, the PSP version is identical to the past iterations at least as far as PAs, clothing, pallete items, and quite a few other things... -[[User:Tlbww|DawgPilez]] 12:23, 1 October 2008 (CDT)
**** The section would remain. But for what it's worth, the SOA president has already let slip that a local release is in the works. We're still waiting for an official announcement, but I think it's safe to say we'll get it eventually. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 15:45, 1 October 2008 (CDT)
***** With the announcement of it coming next year I hope my saved data transfers. I would be quite ahead of the crowd and I could get so much more work done...But by that time the majority of info will be filled. Here's to hard work being overlooked by a translation in half a year. -[[User:Tlbww|DawgPilez]] 13:39, 19 October 2008 (CDT)
* I'm not sure, to be honest. Sounds like something was changed on the backend to disallow PNGs from being uploaded, but that's only a guess. Maybe Tycho, Qwerty or Mewn know something about it. If all else fails, we could convert the icons you've ripped from the game to GIF, upload those and update the affected templates with the new extension. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 12:26, 21 December 2008 (CST)
I remember he gets all pissy about Alteraz being defeated so easily (since it was supposed to be the COG's ultimate weapon), so I'd say he's borderline hyperventilating from shock or something. There's nothing that really suggested to me that Rutsu transformed into this creature. * Yeah, I just copy-pasted the blank template to update those. Guess I should've remembered to put the image gallery thing in. On the drop tables, I kept them there just for the sake of filling out the pages a bit more. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe I should poke at the template code a bit to make it where we can change "unknown" to "no drops" or something like that. Oh, and thanks for fixing those Buster SUVs I messed up. So I noticed Toothball's updates and I also noticed PSU-wiki now doesn't list the limit of the newer five color combos of each set. They're definitely in there...I just checked recently. I'm guessing these were probably in the June update? * Awesome! Thanks a bunch for the info! I'll have those things sorted out in a bit. Also, if you happen to have more stuff to trade in for DP, see if they added the 4,000 and 5,000 DP rewards. When we got this update on JP, all of those were added in one go, but I'm not sure if they're going to split them up here. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 17:33, 27 May 2011 (EDT)

ues== Naming schemes ==

== PSP2 templates ==
* Few points and questions:

***** With the announcement of it coming next year I hope my saved data transfers. About your edit on the photon points page, thanks for cleaning it up. I'm not great at all of this. But, if you score a critical hit or whatever it is called, you regain a significant amount of pp instead of just striking normally. Please include that in your edit since you are more technically fluent then me - [[User:DeviateRogue|DeviateRogue]]
* Thanks! I've added it. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 05:05, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
* No Problem just thought that would help out people, I remember they mentioned that when AOTI first came out, Should we include a %? I could research it --[[User:DeviateRogue|DeviateRogue]] 05:12, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
** It's possible that the amount recovered is based on weapon type or even your own type. So it could be something like each weapon category recovers x amount per normal attack, but y amount from exact attacks. Feel free to look into it, and let us know what you come up with. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 14:59, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
*** That's what I figure, Types along with the weapon rank it self maybe? - [[User:DeviateRogue|DeviateRogue]]
**** Possibly, I suppose. Tell you what; why not create a post over at the forum with your findings, that way more people may be inclined to contribute their research to the cause, too. (Oh, and remember to sign your comments on talk pages with four tildes, <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>. ==Dennis19901 talk==
Updated big amount of pages, including Dizas effect and new updates.
Added most updates already, saved rsd and gas for talk.
The only time I really get to update the pages is one day before the update, hope it's not a problem.
Only way I can easily help with some stuff around here - [[User:Dennis19901]]
* Cool, thanks. I've reverted some of the articles, though (like Rentis) since they won't be available this update. I usually don't like to update weapon availability too far in advance, but a day isn't too bad. Also, remember to sign your comments on talk pages like this by typing four tildes at the end of your comments. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 13:43, 14 October 2010 (UTC)

If you don't kimd I'll keep this section of your talk open since I'll be adding or modifying some stuff on here whenever I have time. I just made a new [[To do list|page]] that isn't excactly new, before deleting, read the [[Talk:To do list|Discussion]]. The [[To do list|Page]] took some work and is pretty usefull, if not for others, it is for me and my friends to work on. [[User:Dennis19901|Dennis19901]] 11:12, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
* Updated [[Item synthesis]]. Don't think it's 100% ready yet, it broke my head tho, very messy page. Also added 2-3 more things to the [[To do list]]. If you got time, take a look please [[User:Dennis19901|Dennis19901]] 15:55, 15 October 2010 (UTC)
** Thanks for that, too. I've got lots of stuff to go through now between the different wikis, but I'll get to reviewing these articles over time (I hope!). Likewise with the to-do list, I may end up integrating it into the existing one, and maybe making that one more in-depth and less general. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 16:32, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

*Again, massive list of updates I made. On my way to becoming staff? Lol >.<. Anyway, Planning to swap TECHNIC's and skill's pages aswell. But what's up with the 41-50 2nd and third sword skills? '2nd and 3rd are blank? Unknown or am I missing something? I'll try my best to add information to the skill list aswell. Fortefighter and Acrofighter weapons can be added. I dislike double sabers and any axe skill that isn't called jabroga. [[User:Dennis19901|Dennis19901]] 12:33, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
[[User:Sarisha|Sarisha]]
I am a japanese PC server player and I was going to add the stats to the slicer Quint Dependence. However the page does not exist. I am not trying to make changes to something without knowledge of proper procedure. My question is how do you create the page that links to the table for slicers. When I attempted to add the weapon it came up as page does not exist.I looked at the guide for a reference to how this works, but maybe this is a staff only procedure. Thanks for your time.
* Yeah, I meant to make more weapon articles yesterday, but ended up not having enough time to get to them all. Slow day at work now, so I'm about to take care of all of those. But for reference, we have an article with a bunch of templates that are used for various article types which can be read [[The_PSUPedia:Article_templates|here]]. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 17:18, 22 December 2010 (UTC)
==Shops Page==
On the [[Shops]] page I noticed we still have the "Empty Shop or Event Space" listed there, since this place now has a permanent tenant should it be changed or left alone? [[User:JRDeBo|JRDeBo]] 07:22, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
* Ah, thanks! I've removed it from the article since the RSD that's in its place now isn't classified as a shop. Right now we've got the RSD article redirecting to the mission counters article, but I might expand on it later just to explain what all is there. - [[User:EspioKaos|EspioKaos]] 21:46, 6 February 2011 (UTC)
I added the description of the Pure Mischief (Pinky shooter) http://img808.imageshack.us/img808/199/purel.jpg the trade in for the 3000 drop off points but did not rename or change any of the links. Its been awhile since I have edited a wiki page and forgot how. Oh yeah and the other 3k point item name is the Vigor Mischief. I was wondering if you could clean that up for me. Thank you! --[[User:Darkstormyrain|darkstormyrain]] 17:08, 27 May 2011 (EDT)
* Unfortunately I was unable to go past 3007 points so I assume that we cannot get the 4,000 & 5,000 point rewards. I'll try and get a description of the Vigor Mischief later. --[[User:Darkstormyrain|darkstormyrain]] 18:35, 27 May 2011 (EDT)

=== Japanese PC/PS2 version ===
