Currently, the official release dates are, in chronological order:

* Japan - August 31, 2006[http://psuni.org/][http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com]
* North America - Fall 2006
* Europe - Fall 2006

These dates apply only to the PC (Windows) and PS2 versions of the game. Takao Miyoshi stated, "I've heard Fall of this year for the Xbox 360 release [for North America]" according to a PSOW interview with the producer himself. Takao Miyoshi also stated the release dates for NA and Japan will be "very different". The updates are expected to be on par between the NA and JAP version even if they come out months apart from each other.

It should also be noted that these dates are subject to (and are likely to) change, as the Japanese version has been delayed numerous times. It remains possible that PSU will see a Fall release in North America though.

The [http://www.phantasystaruniverse.com/ official PSU JP website] now reports August 31, 2006, following a leak from an apparent insider at Famitsu magazine. Again, this only applies to the PS2 and PC (Windows) versions, Xbox360 is still TBA.

* Control Options: Keyboard or Gamepad
