Beast-nation jamesv1: /* Photon Art Levels */

Photon Arts are the special offensive and defensive abilities of PSU. They are learned from Photon Art Disks, then are linked to weapons, and come in three forms, each associated with a weapon type:

* Skills: Linked to melee weapons, are powerful melee attacks that can often extend a combo.
* Bullets: Linked to ranged weapons, are passive Photon Arts that change a weapon's element and give it a special status effect that can be inflicted upon enemies.
* TECHNICs: Linked to Casting Weapons, are the equivalent of magic in PSU. They can achieve a number of effects, including healing and elemental damage.

Photon Art Levels
When first learned, all photon arts start at level 1. A successful use of a photon art awards an increase in your knowledge of that photon art. Your knowledge is measured in a percentage and when 100% is reached, the photon art increases in level by 1 and the percentage is reset to 0%.

A successful use of a Photon Art is as follows:
* Damaging art: The art hits 1 or more enemies for at least 1 damage. The art will increase for each enemy hit.
* Healing art: The art heals 1 or more allies for at least 1 HP. The art will increase for each ally healed.
* Buff art: The art will apply a fresh buff to each ally in range. The art will increase for each ally buffed.
* Debuff art: The art will apply a fresh debuff to each enemy in range. The art will increase for each enemy debuffed.
* Refreshing art: The art will attempt to remove status effects from each ally in range. The art will increase for each ally who has a status removed.

A Photon Art's potency is directly related to the art's level. Damaging arts will increase in damage, healing will restore more HP, and status effects will have their level increased.

Also, at level 11 and sometimes again at level 21, each art will receive a significant increase in its effect:
* Skills usually gain another attack in their combo sequence. As with normal melee attacks, you are able to execute a second attack immediately after the first by correctly timing a second press of the attack button.
* Bullets gain additional elemental percentage bonuses to the weapon they are equipped and will inflict more severe status effects.
* TECHNICs will gain a larger range and will inflict more severe status effects.

Do Jigo Boomas spawn always in this mission, or are they still a "rare" spawn pattern? --Beatrixkiddo 00:48, 18 January 2008 (CST)
* They are flagged in blue in the enemy data section for the mission on JP-Wiki, so I'd imagine that they are still a rare spawn, yeah. Seeing as it's a special mission the chance to get them might still be quite high though. - Mewn 05:39, 18 January 2008 (CST)
* Something else I've noticed: the Japanese wiki updated with some info stating that the EXP payout and drop rates have been increased by 500%. :O - EspioKaos 11:08, 18 January 2008 (CST)
* Given the INSANE rewards for this mission that totally doesn't surprise me at all. - Mewn 12:00, 18 January 2008 (CST)
* Another small update: Rappies have apparently shown up in this mission. Also, I noticed that the JP wiki lists Volfu LV125 as dropping [B] Giza-Misaki instead of [B] Ga-Misaki as the PB states. Maybe even more enemies are being given LV125-149 drops than what the book said? In the near future, I may go ahead and create LV125 templates for everything, just in case they are needed. - EspioKaos 13:09, 18 January 2008 (CST)
* Are we sure it's a 125+ drop? Could be 100+, pretty sure this update changed some general drops for monsters. - Mewn 13:22, 18 January 2008 (CST)
** Ah, crap; forgot about that. Guess we should wait until we get the same drop update on this side of things before making any big changes. - EspioKaos 13:43, 18 January 2008 (CST)
*Heya, I heard there are switches for doors in the mish that lead to small rooms with the rare monster spawns. Anyone have any idea about how many people are needed to open 'em? - Hiro 13:46, 31 January 2008 (CST)
** There are switches in this mission that require four people according to the Japanese wiki. It's probably referring to what you mentioned. - EspioKaos 13:49, 31 January 2008 (CST)
*** I see, that's a pity; 2 members of my hunting group are inactive :( Thanks for the fast reply, Espio. - Hiro 13:58, 31 January 2008 (CST)

Tips for Finding
* Just an idea, perhaps we should include tips for finding the mission that may not be common knowledge, IE doing mision, party disbanding, every member searching counters..Which may just come from a section in the article explaining how it works in more detail Saiffy 12:50, 8 February 2008 (CST)
** Yeah, we can expand on that in the little description thinger we have now. Also, when I can get around to it, I'll be making a specific article for rare free missions (so the link in the infobox isn't a dead end), as I feel certain that we'll see more down the road, likely at least one per planet and maybe one for the colony/HIVE/Ryucross. - EspioKaos 13:54, 8 February 2008 (CST)
** My predictions: Neudaiz gets Caves of Illusion, Parum gets Mine of Illusion, and Colony gets Ruins of Illusion (which, in a roundabout way, makes sense, since Ruins is a spaceship and it could just magically appear in space or something). - Mewn 14:33, 8 February 2008 (CST)
Fast Way To Find FOI
The fastest way to find FOI is to go to Moatoob talk to one of the ladies, and go to West Kugu: Ajis Kugu which is the Oasis.

Once you are there, the only mission that should be in that lobby is, Stolen Weapon. Just do C runs. No need to do GBR to find the Forrest.

Once you run it and say "LEAVE PARTY." Do not go to CRYSTAL! You will be back at the Oasis, just DIS-BAND, and run back into the door.

Also, having 6 players in your party increases your luck of finding it. On the PS2 server, we found it 4 times over the weekend. There are at least 15 others who can back this up. JETSTREAM, Ace2.0(or something), Nasta, [Red Rose](something), bud, jojo, Karl Kahn, H(something), sh3rb3rt, and more that I don't recall the names (sorry ya'll, crazy names are hard to remember :-) )
