Amiculi: mention of combat-usable PM luck

Red: Online specific information.
Blue: Offline specific information.

Partner Machineries (パートナーマシナリー), or PMs (パシリ) for short, are floating pet robots, like the Mags from PSO, and can be found in one's My Room. In Story Mode Ethan's PM is called 'Pete', but in Extra Mode and Network Mode players are able to choose and change their name themselves.

PMs have several functions:
* Item storage
* Item Synthesis
* Engaging in combat as a sidekick (fourth-stage only)
* Providing plot information and hints (Story Mode)

They also have several statistics:
* Striking - raises the profiency in synthesizing Melee Weapons
* Ranged - raises the profiency in synthesizing Ranged Weapons
* Technic - raises the profiency in synthesizing Casting Weapons
* Armor - raises the profiency in synthesizing Armors
* Production Level (max. 100) - the sum of the above four; determines when evolution takes place
* Combat Level (max. 100) - dictates a PM's stats in combat and increases overall synthesis proficiency; increased by having the PM participate in combat a lot

To increase the first four statistics, PMs can be fed 99 before becoming "full". Once they have been fed 99 items, you must wait 12 hours before feeding them again. They will refuse to eat any Synthesis Boards, Grinders or Presents. One easy way of raising one's PM is to creating a new character for its initial items, put these in the account bank, and repeat. For this, Newmans are best for Technic; Casts for Armor or Ranged; Humans or Beasts for Striking.

Regarding synthesis, the distinct PM evolutions each specialize either in Striking, Ranged or Technic; there seem to be none specializing in Armor. The battle-usable evolutions all have associated combat behaviour and equipment. Not much is known about their stats in combat currently, other than that this is dependent on their evolution and Combat Level.

Only the leader of a party may summon his or her battle-usable PM to combat. The PM is capable of taking damage and dying like any ordinary player as well as reducing final trial rewards through death. Experience gained by players for defeated enemies is affected in the same way by the PM's attacks as would be by a player's. The PM has no means of healing itself outside of Force spells, area affect items and returning to town. Battle-usable PM's have their own luck score, that of a female cast. Additional combat PM forms may eventually become available with different sexes or races that carry that race/gender combination's luck, however, this is unlikely.

An item called PM Device ZERO is used to reset your PM's stats to zeros. Although you will lose the level and form of your PM by using the item, you will not lose your money or items stored in that bank.

Team is Phantasy Star Universe's term for a party or group of players. These teams can consist of up to six players, human or CPU controlled. Normally teams are formed to ease the completion of harder trials and defeating of the game's boss enemies or simply to enjoy the company of friends while playing.

Options
Teams include many options that can be edited by the team leader, these include:
* Name
* Description
* Numeric password ranging 0000-9999
* Loot options
It should be noted that loot options can only be altered while no trial is in progress.

Loot options allow for free-for-all, ordered or random pickups and can be set seperately for normal items (1-6★) and rare items (7★+).

Only the team leader may add CPU controlled characters to the team and any CPU characters added by the leader will be removed from the team if either leadership changes hands to another member or the current leader leaves the team.

General Outline
My Room is available both online and offline. Online, it is a character-bound instance that can contain up to six players at a time. A player's My Room can be reached using the doors around the perimeter of the 1st floor in the Guardians' Colony. A player can access those of others by having them mail you an invite, by using their Partner Card, by finding their shop using the Visual Phone, or by the details of the player in question in the visiting log of your own My Room. It is possible to prevent players from accessing another player's room by locking it with a password though. Online, a player's My Room are always open, even when you are offline.

Customization
My Room is probably most well-known for the amount of customization possibilities it offers. Its general outlook and 'feel' can be changed using Reform Tickets, but it can also be decorated using Room Goods that range from phones and shop signs to lanterns and flowers. These are collectively known as My Room Accessories. The add-on for Player Shops is also among the Reform Tickets, and is priced at 15,000 Meseta. It is to be noted that the photograph near the Visual Phone changes depending on the room theme.

Player shops are shops that can be opened and run by any character. In order to open one, an item called "Open Shop" is needed. This can be bought from the Room Decorations shop on the second floor of the colony for 15000 meseta.

To visit another player's shop, access the Vision Phone to the left of your Partner Machine in your room. Under "Search for Shops", you will be given a list of options to search by (name, item, or ad), as well as a list of recommended shops to look at.

The shop add-on places an addition through the normal My Room exit where the owner's Partner Machine will now be found. The player's PM still retains all normal functions. Players looking to make purchases will do so by speaking to the PM and all of the owner's shop related functions are accessible through a console at the central counter in the shop.

Players may sell items from their Partner Machine storage through this shop add-on for any given price ranging from 1 to 99,999,999 meseta. More than one complete stack's quantity of an item may be placed up for sale allowing for greater supply and limitless storage of items beyond the maximum normally allowed.

An item called PM Device ZERO is used to reset your PM's stats to zeros. Although you will lose the level and form of your PM by using the item, you will not lose your money or items stored in that bank.
